Even I’m not a WP author, I think everyone would agree if that article should/must be dropped. Really annoying.

well it looks to me your English is far better than mine :)

Thanks, nice to hear it
So, did you use your own knowledge and didn’t hire a thranslator when created your themes?

Didn’t hire a translator up until now…just can’t afford it :) I got buyer with English literature major on his college once and he criticized how badly the documentation i made :crying: :)

...it’s really hard to compete with a theme integrating $100+ of free plugins and stuff and leads to unfair competition so if the market prices are not regulated, this is becoming more like a casino than a serious business, you can’t just make a niche theme and hope it’s good enough to beat a 300+ demo and $100+ plugins integrated monster with the same price tag, the business in real life just doesn’t work that way.

What about inform us upfront about these changes (all of them) and then everyone deals with it? I don’t need a team to manage the impact for me. If there are “negative” consequences, bring them to the table so we can get a decision knowing the facts.

Thanksgiving -> Christmas -> New Year -> Slow Recovery -> Valentines Day -> Easter -> Summer Holidays -> Halloween -> Thanksgiving.. + a few envato bundles in-between. There is always something :(

Just like @Anps said, the steep curve down to the ground is making all my dreams of long-term success on ThemeForest vanish. There is no way i am jumping in the multi-purpose bloat theme war, and this seems that those are the only ducks getting fed these days.

My sales go down with each item i release, and the items are out of homepage in a few hours. I am back to doing 100% client work for now as i don’t see any realistic opportunity to make a decent earning with decent items that serve one simple purpose for one client.

Looks like the beautiful ecosystem of Envato has reached its peak (for the vast majority of authors and community) and it’s going to collapse on itself, only to keep the ultra power elite authors and sending a couple of them on the moon when they reach the ultimate elite status.

Yeap I feel the same…I couldn’t agree more reg. this ecosystem.
