Just realised after uploading a 404 page that it is actually going to the 404 page instead of single.php.

EDIT : Nevermind, fixed the issue. My Permalinks needed re-saving.

I haves set up a custom post type for the featured posts on the homepage, yet when I click the read more button, for some reason it is going to index.php instead of either single.php or single-xxxxx.php.

Any ideas why this would happen?

Went with the option of having a custom post type, removing everything in the add post apart from a Title and the featured image.

Well I’m currently working on my first WordPress integration and I want it to be done with the user in mind and so therefore want to use the best practices. What is the best way for selecting what images to display in a slider.

I have the option_tree framework installed so I’d like to implement that somehow.

Is it best practice to use a custom_field in a post and then grab all posts in that category and display those or is there an easier/more efficient option

I think for HTML it’s acceptable to use one javascript file that then imports the rest just to keep the code as clean as possible

I emailed him and got a response today. He said he isn’t after anymore beta testers as he’s working towards the public beta
