How many of you wear glasses ?
No, but I was prescribed glasses to wear when working in front of computer. I wore them for a few months and could not get used to them. I would get headaches from wearing them. Expensive glasses that I never wear.

How many hours per day do you look into your screen?
8-10

Do you think that your vision is damaged ?
A little bit. I also experience slight blurry vision in my right eye after days of long hours of starting at computer monitor. The eye doc said it was due to eye fatigue. It tends to go away after a day or two away from my computer.

Do you do any exercises?
Just try to take breaks often, staring at different things from time to time on the wall to give my eyes something else to focus on. I play a lot of raquetball…focusing and following a little ball around a court I think helps my eyes out quite a bit.

Last week was terrific. This week is pretty slow. Having no Christmas items doesn’t help :)

We are COMMITTED to getting all V1 projects to open in V2 correctly! We invite anyone with a problem to please send it to us right away and we will try and fix any issues and update the plug-in so it is not a problem for anyone.

Thanks for checking in on us Andrew! Really appreciate it.

I will be sending you one of my templates shortly that I am having issues with the update, hopefully it will be a good test subject for you.

Thanks again, congrats on the release.

So I will go that way > Upgrade to V2> check all my items -> if not working make a notice in item description that is not for V2 (only way thats possible). Think about that many template buyer see that awesome E3D V2 killer app and upgrade or dive as new V2 customers into E3D from now.

^^ +1

Yup, that’s what I did.

@facade How is the installation process? Can you have both v1 and v2 or not?

No, not that I am aware of. Make sure not to save over your existing file version with EDv2. If you need to go back to that original file that you made with v1.6, then you would have to reinstall v1.6 to open that up. As far as I know, you can only have one version of ED3 on your one system.

Version 2 has a new coordinate system so make sure you guys check your templates and make any necessary adjustments in case something is not how it’s supposed to look when opened in Version 2.

I’m fixing one of my templates because one of my objects is reversed when I opened it up using version 2. Has something to do if the anchor point of an object was changed in the previous version.

Most may not need to do anything at all but it doesn’t hurt to check just in case you did mess with the anchor point of an object in a previous version.

You can read about that here, the very bottom http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2014/10/technical-details-about-e3d-v2/
