i do not like the new “flat” design.. its just so same as it ever was.. sorry
Im looking for the skiing santa game and the NEW simon says game.. I think the author was besterme or something.. no record is found in CC.. I would like to purchase the games but not if its not going to be offered on Codecanyon whats going on is there a tech issue with CC? the site is not functioning correct? Thanks
I’m one of envato’s top buyers. And from a buyers’ perspective… there’s many competitors’ theme subscription sites where for $100 or so I can get dozens of decent themes, with unlimited site license. and those include dedicated forums with responsive, fast support.
google “wordpress themes” and you’ll see there’s lots of great theme sites, many which give you 20-30 themes (most are mediocre, but there are often at least 2-3 themes that are well worth getting), that for a full year you get dozens of themes and unlimited site usage license And great support on forums by the developers.
for $50-$100 elsewhere I can get 20-30 good themes that are usable on unlimited of my sites and get guaranteed support-forum detailed support (often within 24 hours, at most major WP theme subscription-plan based sites) and new themes added monthly, all included for the money… please get more competitive on pricing and/or licensing and/or support.envato will continue to attract great theme developers, so that’s a plus… it’s just as loyal buyers (especially us ‘power buyers’), it would be good to get better support forums with dedicated fast response like your competitors offer, and less restrictive licensing, and more competitive pricing. I won’t be spending much on themes here at $50 each; in this global recession with bad economic times, charging more money than competitors probably isn’t a good idea.
Well maybe you have a point I just was told by 2 customers that they want themes from GPP and SP.. The reason I post this is I often recommend TF authors I support to clients but in the end it might have been price this time..Let me say I am not 100% sure..that is was price..I still support the authors here I have found to be the best of the best..this antidote from my client is just a fyi..45$ over all is not bad for the best themes here at TF..
Hi Well all I would say here is be careful. TF is a standard in themes..to be sure..but the competition is strong and not going away. Themes are everywhere and marketplaces are coming online. I for one having been here since the start have finally found authors I follow and to be frank I will buy the themes they create at almost any price. -It took a long time but I know who I can trust and that makes all the difference..Thats me.. a long time customer..new customers may not see it that way and might end up somewhere else..Just a caution..I would not worry if I were Envato but let me finish by saying that the best theme authors here are as good as any out there including the biggest shops.. That is really awesome when you think about it..It takes a while to learn why and who but when you do you can just fly with the products they produce.. Thanks
Hi I think you should add each market place to the users bookmark in addition to the current set of ways to sort the items.. That way a person could sort by market place. Right now..I sort in total and since I have been at envato from the start or first day I sort thru a lot of bookmarks..I do use bookmarks to check a pre purchase than make the purchase.. I know others use it for public showcases..but since envato now has so many items and it might be a month before the purchase becomes necessary..you can see why sorting is so important ..right?,, anyway just a thought..:)
I’m not sure what you mean with proportional thumbs. However my image viewer detects automatically the width and height of every image and is not capped by any size. It might fit your needs. Click on my avatar to find it, I’m not allowed to link it directly. Take care.
Thanks it is a nice gallery system.. proportional thumbnails is simply the width and size scale proportionally like if you were in PS and resizing a image..Your system would require a lot of customization though as most would here. I like all the gallery systems here for many uses but a picky artist well no.. it turns out there are 3 keys to this artist one is the thumbnail size and proportion ..2 the ability to upload multiple files and the ability to change on the fly.. One author here Chuckanucka has a template that allows you to upload a folder of photos via a neat PHP script and it automatically populates the galley thumbs and all..I am just pointing out that here for flash XML there are files that do some of what is needed but not one apparently that does it all..Im going with a custom codeingnigtor photo file from a author at code-canyon that will do 90% and the rest can be added later I can actually write PHP much better that AS Thanks to all here and Im buying templates and galleries for other things as of right now and if it were not for all the authors here we all in the basic web development biz would be working much harder for sure..:)
I had this on mind a while ago.
that is a cool gallery system and looks to support proportional thumbs but the only thing is every artist want huge thumbnails..ok im going out on a limb here here is the site Im re-doing..This artist is a good example of someone who wants this type or proportional thumbs..look at the silly code the former developer used in the galleries ..this was done in 2005 I think but even than this system is a bit odd..full html pages for the photos and thumbs..ala DW ..anyway http://www.cathybratter.com/index.html
ok! nice..let look at this it may work..:)
hi proportional thumbnails is thumbnails in the gallery that are loaded in proportion to the size of the photo or graphic.. so say the photo is 640×480 than the thumbnail to this photo would be in proportion to the size 640×480..not say a force 200×200..so the photo keeps its main dimension..Im finding that building sites for photographers and artist types I run in to this all the time..and there are solutions out there of course..but in searching activeden I dont see it much and would like a xml based flash gallery with this..Sike says I can comment out his main.as file for a gallery I bought from him but..Im not sure as how to code it..See..im a freelance web developer but I use activeden and envato to get things to speed development and Im not that good with Actionscript and flash..im versed in CSS html php and now ruby on rails..but even if..the best thing about envato is you get a file to help save you time and speed a project along..thats what is so great..:)
Hi thanks for the tip on your gallery i like it..but MBUDM a author here does have a proportional thumbnails based gallery in a few of his templates..but Its a bit extra work to use them that way..after seeing several PHP based galleries that were very automated..I wanted to see if here at activeden there might be a nice xml flash based gallery supporting proportional thumbnails for a gallery and the reason is because flash is a nice way to protect files..Im working for a artist and of course copy protection is important but in the end all is good there are many excellent galleries here..:)
