I just got a sale reversal yesterday which item has been sold more than month ago. How do I know it’s been that long? Bcoz the reversed price was $38,40 which means it’s before Envato raised item priced since last September. Anyone else noticed that who had sale reversal lately?

Sorry to hear about the sales reversal, I know they can be disappointing :( . A chargeback is different to a refund Envato issues, and occurs when a bank or card issuer such as Visa, Mastercard or Amex revoke the payment and send it back to the buyer in line with their own customer protection policies.

Visa and Mastercard both allow 120 days to open a chargeback, so you could still see this adjustment on your statement 4+ months after completing a sale.

Also just to clarify, we never auto-reply to any ticket (with the exception of the very first ‘ticket received’ confirmation) . All tickets, including refund requests, are assessed by one of our 20+ strong Support Team :grin:

If this possible to get refund with these reasons who can stop buyers to get money back anytime they want. I appreciate if somebody explain to me why these reasons there for refund.

That’s a great question! By allowing buyers to select from a wide range of refund reasons helps us to better understand why refund requests are being submitted.

All refund requests are assessed through our internal refund policy against a pre-defined criteria. There is, of course, no guarantee that when a buyer selects one of the options above, they’ll be issued a refund for that particular reason.

If you select that you would probably get some auto reply or copy paste that they do not offer refunds on that.

If so why bother putting on the list those non-functional reasons. We pay our most precious hours to create all these digital stuff and for what? Shouldn’t be that easy to get refund guys.

Hello I’d like to discuss these reasons with you guys. It’s really non-sense to me. Isn’t it selected reasons fully open for abuse. I wonder how Envato respond if someone ask refund by a reason “I changed my mind”, “It was a mistaken purchase”, “The quality is not what I expected”, “I purchased under wrong account” Especially “I changed my mind” is very poor reason to ask refund.

September even worst than August. I just released a new item and incredibly surprised. No sales. People got full of themes I guess. On the other hand popular list never changes. They keep sale as the first day. weird! :yawn:

Just for the record I see no direct sales on my statement since beginning of September. Do you think guys something is going on here? This has to be fixed.!!!
You do not see direct sales anymore because the $2 surcharge now goes completely to envato. They have announced that with the recent fee changes.

So Envato get richer? Wonderful :)

yes, we know they were removed when those changes had been applied, but we are hoping someone explains why those information can be shown in the statement page.

For example, the item price:

No need to answer I already know.

It was removed because the algorithm extracted the actual price (including the 2$ fee) and not the deposit normal price. Instead of updating the algorithm to show the deposit only price, devs chose to eliminate the information shown to authors.

Not getting again in the “good vs bad” move of cutting authors from this 2$ fee but by removing the price information envato succeeded in hiding when an item is sold using direct purchase vs deposit purchase.

We already know you want to hide this info and we already know envato keeps those 2$ so no need to pretend anything, please pass our request to developers to update the algorithm to show us the item price when a sale is made

While they are at, they should made all the envato fee, buyers fee, whatever, automatically and just show us the old percentage as it was before.

You’re the man Doru. I totally agree with you that Envato is pretending to hide somehow direct sales with $2 extra. Considering with large number of sales that $2 makes a well income per day. I submitted a support ticket 49231 regarding the missing “rate” and “sale price”. Yes without the rate/sale price it is now impossible for us to calculate our total earnings / pay rate from the statement CSV files (in 3rd party scripts).

Any response to your ticket mate? Wondering if Envato cares this issue. Thank you.
