No one is saying you can’t develop locally, not just without internet connection?
I don’t think WordPress works properly when you don’t have internet connection
Of course it does! It powers many offline intranets.Plus you can develop locally without internet, useful for when on a plane etc.
So we are not using CDN because people want to develop on planes? Or people want to develop websites without internet?
I would like to waiver all buyers who are going to buy my themes and use them without internet connection
They told me it was “recommended” not required. I had other reasons for soft-rejection. So I am thinking, they’ll not force me to use plugin after other issues are fixed.
Are we supposed to move cpt’s to plugins?
I am pretty sure it was removed from requirements like a year ago.
Found this if anyone needs it: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/147238/wp-enqueue-script-using-scripts-from-cdn-with-a-safety-callback
@tokopress: Thanks, that’s more clear. How do you even add fallbacks to WordPress assets?
Does anyone have any idea?
I don’t think WordPress works properly when you don’t have internet connection + I think your hosting has a higher chance of going down rather than MaxCDN or Cloudflare.
(CDN works normally if you’re using localhost)
1) I have recently switched to using CDN for FontAwesome and other widely used assets.
However, my theme was soft-reject because of this. How is this logical? Why would someone not want CDN?
2) Are we supposed to move cpt’s to plugins, AGAIN? I thought we went over this?
3) I got: “The <title> tags can only contain a call to wp_title(). Use the wp_title filter to modify the output”
Lol, I don’t even use a title tag by using the latest
"add_theme_support( 'title-tag' );"
