billyf saidit is not from a tutorial, i created it on a menu creator and then styled it with an online gradient tool and yes i do agree with you all about that it doesnt fit with the design and i think i know where i do mistake, not that i am not good at photoshop or that i cant do psd to html but i am kinda lazy and imaginationless when it comes to photoshop designing
MightyFine saidAh… I thought the ‘it’ refers to the quoted text instead of the navigation bar I do think ‘it’ looks like it’s from a tutorial though.
billyf saidrvision means the style of the nav looks like it’s from a tutorial, not your sentence.
rvision_ saidHmm…not sure about that. Maybe I did read something similar in some articles in the past, but the sentence just came into my mind when I was replying.
billyf saidIt looks like it’s dropped from somewhere (tutorial or something)
PS : Do not ‘mix’ different designs onto a page unless the outcome is better. From what I see, the navigation bar certainly does not fit in your current design
but thanks for your all advices apart from guessing where the menu comes from ^ and i also have never been reading a single tutorial in my life ever ^, i dont have a long web designing story to tell in my past, my learning style is just analyzing the codes around and understanding, never watched a single tutorial and never been reading a single article
and i never told i was perfect, if i thought so i would not be asking here on the forum, i d probably have redstar with blue around where it said power elite author under my profile ^, thanks for advices and what i all needed to know was, if anyone told about white space or sort typography problems, which i have had after my first template, i d be sad, actually nice to know that i am one step further ^
ThemeProfuse saidthanks for your comments but i would like to ask you something, it is not to be rude, it is just because i wanna learn
Everything need to improve in design from top to bottom. Font’s, background, elements, headings, color. your design need more more more more work & efforts
on your this template >>> LINK <<<
at the very bottom, where it sais what our clients say, i cant read the content without draging mouse over the text and covering it all in blue, so my question is, i am trying to understand the typography logic, readiblity problems and how to sort them, i seriously ask because i wanna learn, not that i am kidding, please dont get offended. what do we excatly look for with the eyes of a client that goes on the website but does not know about the critics of web designing?
i dont know, if i am opening the thread on the right section of the forums but i tried item disccussion twice, didnt get any responde
i recently started creating a template.Before i go deep in project, i would like to get some advises, negative and positive all appreciated link is below;
i am not really professional but what i see so far with your template is;
use a more serious looking font, change twit background to the same as counter numbers background
change that blackboard looking background to a plain gradient background under “what to expect”
take notify me (stay updated) column to the center and take location to the right
and use image instead of ” | ” as a seperator at the bottom links and make those links a bit more visible
and improve the text contrast
but then again, i am not a professional
guys, please some advices, i just wanna know, if i am getting better with the typography?
