I have not received any invoice for the sale I had on 1st January. The money is there, but no invoice.
Where should I look? I checked my inbox and my spam folder, it’s not there either.
This author fee, buyer fee, item price, VAT, total sales value stuff makes me feel like an accountant. Today, I have read only about VAT and accountancy and financial stuff. Feeling creative? Not at all.
You mean a template for item’s description?
I have two questions, NOT related to VAT.
Let’s take the following (not real) situation:
My Sales earnings (January): $1200
Total Value of my item sales (January): $2000
=> => Envato commission for my items (January): $800
Now, with the actual Envato business model, in my books, I should declare:
Total revenue (January): $2000
Business expenses (January): $800
=> => I will pay taxes for $1200 which is correct, but:
1) how can I declare in my books that those $800 (Envato’s commission) are my business expenses, since all my business expenses are made from the money in my bank account….and those 800$ never reach my account? (my accountant says I can’t do that legally)
2) how can I declare in my books that my January revenue is $2000, when in fact I receive from PayPal in my bank account only those $1200? (my accountant says I can’t do that either legally)
It’s already in discussion here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/price-number-not-changing/159189
I think it’s related to something I have noticed today.
If you look in the source code of the Search Results page, there is a META tag which yesterday was different.
The META tag itself does nothing, I know, but I think it is server side generated and it reflects maybe from which branch the code is or which attributes are on/off or it shows some sort of ON/OFF testing:For instance today is:
<meta content="dts3_off;soi_quality_scores_off;sc_on;ft_off;nc_on" name="WT.flip" />
Those attributes in the code above which are “on” today, yesterday and the days before were “off” (I know for sure, I saw them).
Maybe this article will help other theme authors too, it’s written 3 years ago and some functions may be deprecated, but the main idea is still important: http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/data-sanitization-and-validation-with-wordpress--wp-25536
