Hi Venkatesha

It’s not Doctor Theme’s fault.

WordPress itself is a bit insecure without the proper security in place. You can protect your WordPress websites with a firewall for WordPress, which can be installed using a dedicated WordPress plugin.

Here are some commercial firewalls: http://codecanyon.net/category/wordpress?term=firewall&utf8=%E2%9C%93

or another free option (this is very powerful, I install it every time on my websites: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/

I know that .webm format is optional in the video tag, not mandatory.

Theme authors use it because. webm offers a higher quality than ogg. and because, for instance, YouTube videos are encoded by default in webm format (I’m not 100% sure, but in the past they did that). When you use:

<source src="video.webm" type="video/webm" />
<source src="video.ogv"  type="video/ogg"  />

means: that browser will first play the .webm format (with higher quality), but if .webm is not natively supported by that browser, it will play the next format in the list (.ogg).

I have also read in the past (2011, if I remember correctly) that there were some issues with including native support for H.264 (MP4) as native video support in the browsers, something related to licensing and royalty-free features, that is why (at least Google with its Chrome) started to support and encourage .webm

It’s because yellow is the perfect color to represent a game.

Yellow is colorblindness-safe. Also yellow is the most visible color of the spectrum.

It suggests happiness and warmth and joy. And courage. And sunshine and light. And in most cultures and countries, yellow is also the color indicating caution.

These are all characteristics that go well with creating the desire to play the game, to watch the visuals.

I don’t think either that buyers look at the Top Authors page too much.

Usually when you buy something, you make a search using certain keywords, then you try to filter the results as much as possible to fit your needs. You don’t buy something just because everyone else is buying it…

That page is just a motivational page for authors :)

I think you can only do this manually or use a plugin like WordPress Reset which removes all the imported content from the database and you can make the import again.

Not many buyers read the comments section.

Actually, you’d be surprised how many buyers do not even read the item description or see the live demo, but they go instead directly to the comments section to read about other experiences.

Yes, the search results page is changing. That’s for sure.

I use to search 3 certain terms every day to see how the results are displayed/changed and I usually check the search results page source code. And there are a lot of changes. Some of them because of the responsiveness changes, but others…I do not know why they were necessary.

It’s worth mentioning that the entries can be seen in the comments on the official page here :):

http://contests.envato.com/remix/index.html

(personally I thought that links to those entries will be posted in this forum thread too, as usual, like other most wanted events)

Maybe it’s invitation only – only for certain themeforest authors? Because the contest isn’t listed here: http://marketblog.envato.com/most-wanted/
