On themeforest forums, when I click the Complete List of Smiley link from the end of a forum thread (below the Post Reply textarea), I am redirected to:

Users wont bother about code quality until they hit with security issue or other problems created by poorly coded themes…

or until they have SEO issues because of the way in which the code is written ;)

I don’t agree with the article.

I have bought themes from themeforest and I was always satisfied.

I have seen indeed, while working for a freelancing portal, client websites that were using themeforest themes and their websites had errors or high page loading time or php warnings and notices. But most of the time, this was due to bad installs, wrong setups and configurations (wrong .htacess, wrong charsets, database full of garbage, cyclic redirects, simultaneous usage of more than 10 minifying plugins and so on.

My opinion is that someone wrote that article in an attempt to compromise themeforest reputation.

What we can do? The best thing to improve the quality is to have a public page where you can read all the rules (likein here codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Unit_Test). Maybe there is such a page, I do not know since I am not a themeforest author.

And I do not think themes do have here a low quality, after all themeforest has an entire team of capable and talented reviewers.

As I said, it’s just a tendentious article.

What color would be best suited for…a website with events?

The website is showing current cultural events in various cities. The website owner said I can choose what color I want, but I do not know what to choose :)

I need a color that is engaging, attractive and which suggests implication.

You can download the theme’s last version from your Downloads page:

http://themeforest.net/downloads?utf8=%E2%9C%93&filter_by=themeforest.net&sort_by=Date+Purchased&order=desc&page=1

or contact the theme’s author here, on their support forum:

How do you know that the person who uploaded the video does not have the right license?

I have always thought that for something like this, the Music Broadcast License (1 million) will do. Isn’t this correct? Maybe that person has it.

LATER EDIT: my mistake, I listened it and it has the “audiojungle” watermark, I see what you mean now.

It’s a nice and useful addition, but to be honest, today I went to http://themeforest.net/category/all and I wanted as usual to click the first icon to launch the live preview. Nothing happened, then I have seen the new Add to cart icon, but I haven’t noticed where the Live Preview link has been moved until I have read the blog post :)

While I definitely not encourage a threatening behavior, I can understand the buyers point of view too.

Just think about the buyers who have bought maybe more than 50 themes, maybe from different 50 authors. For each theme support, they will have to access a different forum, each forum with its own credentials, notifications, etc.

On the other hand, we have to understand people, some of them are under time & deadlines pressure, maybe others have health or family issues, we never know.
