Not necessarily. We would like a whole system we would house on our own hosting and we can control the domain names, generate the codes and track them. I know there are scripts out there that generate the QR codes but, they don’t track them. Wasn’t sure if this is possible and/or realistic without hiring a programmer to build a system.
I have tried that goo.gl system but, not robust enough for us. That is why we are using bitly.
As for server up-time. That is a non-issue for us because, we have a back-up server (at a different location) with ghosting so, if the main server goes down the ghost server is switched on.
Thanks for your suggestion.
I was wondering if there was a script out there that can produce QR Codes and track the usage of them? I found a few on here but, lack the tracking ability. We don’t want the Google Analytics system to track because, we don’t have control of all of our clients websites to be able to add the Google tracking codes to. We found a system for free called bitly[dot]com but, we would like our own system we can house on our hosting. Let me know if anyone knows of such of a program.
FYI , we would prefer PHP scripting with MySQL database for storing the data.
Being a vector artist on the graphicriver.net site, I would see it as beneficial for us to “spin off” into a vector based website. Right now, I get people asking questions thinking my stuff works in Photoshop. They don’t seem to pay attention to what I have in the description or the supplied files. Even when you make it plain as day to them they still don’t read that it is for Illustrator and not Photoshop. To help that situation out, it would be a great idea to break off into a separate site. Also, we would get better exposure to the people looking for vector vs. everything else.
My 2 cents!
I might be interested in your request. I do have some of my work on my Facebook page in the Photos area (the link to it is in my profile). I also create Illustrator Graphic Styles here on GraphicRiver. I can’t seem to find your email address to be able to email any other info.
Also, is there somewhere I can view what type of work you do to see if I would be able to reproduce for you?
This is the slowest I’ve seen it so far.
Just purchased the app! I’ll let you know what I think.
I like it a lot. The GUI is nice and easy to follow. The only thing is when I used the Monthly Sales Graph, I wasn’t sure what the year was showing for those months. I was looking for the current month at the end of the graph like how our graphicriver account shows in our account area. Also, are you going add the total sales for our account by the total earned?
Other than that, I will put it through the tests and see if there is anything else.
