You can do that with an jQuery script, some of the authors here have done this before.

Hi Yaeko, I know but I can’t find it anywhere :-(

Hi Everybody,

I’m looking for a 3d slider which can be used for rotating images with controls.

visual mock-up: here

Does anybody know a carousel like this? One of the requirements is that it can be used for commercial use.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

First, here’s the link to the actual live version of this I submitted: http://www.derektoigo.com/assets/livesites/darklight

So I went ahead and tried to upload my “dark” version of this, but it was rejected because of the following:

“1) Several elements throughout your template need spacing improvements (whitespace, padding, margins, etc).

2) Your template has a good start but, as we have high standards, you will need to make some additional improvements in overall aesthetics and aspects such as typography, graphics, and spacing.”

I personally thought what I have was a good start and was quite visaully appealing, but the response I got in regards to why it was rejected seemed kind of vague, IMO , and I had difficulty seeing exactly what I need to fix. Does anyone have any thoughts or second opinions to share on this to help me interpret a little better what the reviewer might have meant?

Thanks.

Hi Derek,

Really like your theme, but I have to agree with the reviewer.

My suggestions:

Homepage: Enlarge the width of the main showcase image. Enlarge the width of the “our spacialties” so you get less white space. Also make the text as wide as the ‘new’ image width.

Works: Same as “Specialties” The widespace is to much here as well

Blog: Add images. it also has to sell visually ;-)

Contact: The form is a little bit to simple. Put some css styles in there!

Another note is the main navigation, I like the blue button in the original design. It also shows up as you hover the button. Add it when the button is ‘active’

Hope this helps you getting this item approved! Good luck!

Hi babyboy I did it once with finalcut studio just simply import the video into your project timeline and adjust the duration. I think it will take a while to compress 4 hours though :-)

imagespark definitely wasn’t built from the template, but that said, it is sufficiently different IMO . Admittedly that color scheme/layout is pretty damn unique out there, and if i were you I would change the logo (if someone really had a case to make the logo with small fonts and star symbol does seem pretty similar) but other than that I dont think there is enough similarity to call it a copy. And your middle part is pretty damn strong by itself ;) Good luck with sales, love that design!

Thanks for your comment. About the logo if think its very different even though its also a small font size and all caps.

I have some experience with ‘claiming’ logo myself, and you can’t ‘patent’ a font type. The logo of image spark is pure text without a symbol. Even the font type is very different to mini. (btw I used: Champagne & limosines which is a free font)

After that being said i’m still curious about what Envato thinks about this ;-)

Recently i’ve uploaded a psd theme called Discovery

Today a someone posted a comment on theme theme page suggesting it looked very similar to this site: http://www.imgspark.com

I’m currently coding this theme and i’m almost ready to uploading it to here. But I don’t want any infringement stuff that happened with one author last month.

A preview of the coded version here

Tell me what you guys think?

If you guys think there are to much similarities I will have to take this template down and do some redesigning :-(
It could be that one of your buyers have bought the psd and used it for imgspark, that could be the case.

No I think that site has been longer up then mine.
