What you think of the new look and feel for OpenCart 2.0?
Quality doesn’t really sell. If some of you really think that, you should double-check. It’s doing what buyers think they need, that’s what sells. I rarely submit any theme that’s like the others, I usually choose restricted niches or very specific ones so I don’t expect huge sellers. Same happened with my one-pages, which have lots of sales. By the time I released them, there was like nobody releasing one-pages. Now it’s everywhere.
It depends on what authors want. If you want sales, I think you should go with the style everyone offers and the most popular themes have(multi-purpose with lots of files and options and plugins from codecanyon). If you’d make something really unique and extremely good-looking, I’d estimate the chances of having GOOD sales(not best-seller) to be at most 5%.
And btw, by quality I don’t mean lots of pages, but uniqueness + typography + pixel perfect + good implementation + good support.Themes without huge page builders, lots of options and plugins from CodeCanyon rarely sell. If they sell, it’s because of the author’s reputation most of the time. It’s just the way ThemeForest teached buyers to judge themes. Most of the buyers use at most 20-25% of a theme’s options but if they were asked to choose between one theme that does what they need and one that that does what they need but includes a huge page builder they won’t need and another 5 free plugins from codecanyon and 25 jQuery sliders and plugins, I’d suppose 80% would go with the second option. Sad but it’s the unfortunate truth.
I agree your line.
Quality = uniqueness + typography + pixel perfect + good implementation + good support.
