cooledition saidWOW! This is inspiring. Now whatever reasons I may have to give up, they just disappear. I hope that 1 year later I can also achieve something like that. And Logomount: Let both of us keep working hard and never give up!
In November – Dicember 2011 i spent like $300 on stocks i wanted to use in my flyers, i was prepring myseft for the christmas season. I designed 7 flyers with those stocks and all those 7 flyers were hard rejected. I was 10x angrier than you, believe me, but i didnt give up and now i have 100 files in my portfolio and graphicriver is my full time job![]()
Please don’t. I understand you must be angry now, and I have experienced something the same bad if not worse.
I have one button set getting soft rejected for 5-6 times (yes, I’m not exaggerating), after all the adjustments were done it didn’t even look like my original concept, and at last it was hard rejected.
Another set of button was accused of being based on other items when I felt it was very original. I opened a ticket and got my answer that although it had a good quality, it was in a style they were trying to restrict thus they didn’t want it.
weren’t I angry? Yes, pretty much. But after all it’s just a marketplace, their opinions just represent what they want. After getting familiar with the process, you can just upload something that might be following their rules for a chance and your rejected items can still be used elsewhere. Please don’t be affected by the rejections too much!
Hi everybody, I just got the following item soft rejected:
The reviewer’s opinion is that
- 1.The gradients could use some additional work.
- 2. clean up some of the vectors. For example there are many overlapping shapes that are the same and cause the file to be larger and run slower than necessary.
Could you guys please give me some advice? Like how should the gradient be changed, and what’s wrong with overlapping shapes? Thanks so much!
China. and so far I only see one Chinese author besides me…
There must be some mistake here… they should have been approved.
Oh…” minimum technical quality requirements”?? in my opinion it’s even better than some of the logos approved there…... I wonder what the reviewer will say about these logos. If you get any reply from them I’d really like to know…
If you are simply waiting in the queue, then this is pretty normal these days. Actually you should celebrate if your item gets approved shorter than that.
Otherwise if it’s held by the team for that long time, you may consider contacting the staff to try to figure out what’s going on.
Try applying some gradient? Actually it looks quite nice on the business card mock up below, but kinda lacks depth on the white background.
Shouldn’t this thread be under Item Discussion?
I think it looks a little bit flat. And also I prefer the oval shaped magnifier to be circular. But that’s just my very personal preference. Other than that I like it.
And in terms of approval or rejection… you never know. You can always see some seemingly decent designs rejected in the forum, while at the same time see some weird stuff approved on the homepage. It works like a mystery.
