Stop spamming the forum sheep!
I was really confused as well by the new avatars! Default placeholders shouldn’t stand out more than most actively chosen avatars… but I guess we will see a forum topic about that soon to chime in.
@miguel, I thought I’d let you get your share out of this thread as well with this answer: http://themeforest.net/category/wordpress/real-estate Hope this helps!
Fantastic, thank you all! Have a great day
Hey everyone, does anybody know if we are allowed to use multiple accounts on themeforest? Used in a non-malicious way.
E.g. one for authoring, one as a private person, one for affiliate stuff.
All the best
Is this the comparison we are talking about? You did not even switch out the content. It’s the exact same content with a different accent color, you changed the font family and added border radius. Looking at it in black and white it just the same template. You’re an awesome author but really, you can do so much better; I don’t understand this thread.
To anyone interested:
My apologies to all concerned for my tone. But please try to understand the level of my frustration. With 4 ticket attempts, two emails, clients breathing down my neck, developers waiting around till I could get the updates…I was at my wits end. Nothing I did worked to get anyone to answer me. So put yourself in my shoes…. its easy to believe a person lashing out is uncalled for behavior, till your squeezed beyond your limits yourself.Under normal circumstances I don’t act or react like that. I’ve been a customer for years and have never even used the forum before to my knowledge, let alone rebuff anyone. So please accept my apologies….as all I ever wanted was for someone to answer me.
Sure you will get a response while cussing out everyone on earth and their mother. But think twice and you might realize that what you really want is a response, not just any response. Triggering a response with cussing will make people want to get rid of you instead of helping you. An apologize is expected and probably accepted but you already did the damage, so maybe think first, then act.

Anyhow, I hope Christian could clear everything up in your conversation! All the best
not really “when it comes to web design” but definitely when it comes to selling themes on themeforest. It’s about a combination of great design and fantastic images – beautiful people, crisp and balanced colors that match the scheme of the theme; fun or intelligent placeholder text won’t hurt either. I think this got more and more important over the years indeed.
It for sure is a pita for designers and developers likewise, unless they are also confident in content management – usually it’s more of a hassle nobody wants to do really as far as I experienced.
Guys, you don’t get it. Less support after 6 months? Haha, nice joke. Let me see one of you saying to a customer “Hello, unfortunately we can’t offer any support since you purchased the theme more than 6 months ago” and getting a 1 star right after that.
Dangit that’s a really valid point… Sorry if I missed a reply to that, it’s hard to follow this thread, but maybe you should disable ratings after six months too then.
When I heard about this whole change I thought it was pretty legit, but after reading so many valid and well-thought responses against it I can see the vicious circle this could start.
This thread shows once more how valuable this community is when it comes to decision making!
