I guess you’ve got to look at it from a reviewers point of view… you get your submission, you open up the After Effects file, you get an error message. The item isn’t going to be accepted ‘as is’ with the error message, so you’re going to have to soft reject it. At that point, are you going to move on to the next item in an effort to keep the queue down? Or do you check what is there for quality, even though you’re still going to soft-reject it, and it’s unlikely you’ll be the one reviewing it when it gets uploaded again?

Valuable! :) thanks

Actually, it should have been rejected at the first time, because style isn’t modern. As our reviewers often write: ” look at our top files to understand the required quality”. You can improve textures, colors and animation to reach the modern standards.
Cool but, Soft rejected means your file have some errors but not visualy accepted by market ?
I have had the same issue, it happens when the second time another reviewer reviews the work: he disagrees with the first reviews and hard rejects the template. That’s how I think it happens) maybe the same reviwer changed his decision.

Never had this experience before very strange maybe i was mistaken understanding this soft rejected “WORDS” was always thought about it is atleast accepted by team

Point is if the file did not meet their minimum requirements then why it is soft rejected at first ? better would be hard rejected or let’s say the file is opened first before preview, is that what is happening :)

Sure, but i would suggest i7 latest ones they’re pretty good in terms of speed and in working with heavy 3d programmes like cinema 4d and others but it is quiet liitle expensive then i5, check charges out i don’t know much about it but if i am you and i have specific budget then i’m thinking about how you’re thinking now but i7 is long runner in next years :) good luck

or maybe they wanna care about “TOP QUALITY” and you don’t know about what it is, just a thought experiment i don’t know much about it but they rejected me to many times recently, or other reason could be there is big library of stock so sometime you make it but it is already available and they don’t want same visuals …videohive is only for players these days ;)

Got emails

””Dirt fim titles 2.aep” gives missing file error for “preview.wav” Please disconnect it.”

After making the required fixes or improvements, please edit your submission at http://videohive.net/item/dirty-film-titles-2/edit/10763187 and submit for re-review.

And then this one Unfortunately your submission Dirty film titles 2 isn’t ready for VideoHive and cannot be resubmitted as it did not meet our minimum requirements for quality and/or Envato Market policies. In order for submissions to be considered for sale they must be of high aesthetic and technical quality, unique to our library and cannot be in violation of Envato’s policies.

Strange ? or maybe same file reviewing by different guys ?

I don’t know what people here are so complaining about the 100 hours.

If all those mattes and paint splashes etc are self created, if there was some experimentation in how to achieve a working matte, probably a lot more assets created than used in the final piece, then doing a proper documentation, looking for good images and sound.

I see 100 hours as very realistic. Those assets take time.

edit/ for clarification: This piece can be made in a lot less than 100 hours, I agree. But if there is a lot of experimentation, maybe some mistakes along the way, and also some missing experience in how to achieve something usable then 100 hours is explainable, imo.
Nah, you wouldnt survive the month like that. The guy is using “time” as his main argument so no – 100 hours for this result is not justified (even if you painted it with your feet). Time spend on a project was never a criteria for file approval anyway.

    very well said
