That was worse, much worse! But, it still needs improvement, and I really think it’s something that needs to be pushed.
I don’t often get negative reviews, but when I do, it’d be useful to try and follow them up to help resolve any issues and improve the rating. A review shouldn’t be the be-all and end-all.
Even if we had the ability to comment back on a review.
It’s not a case of reducing negative reviews – it’s a case of being able to offer more support when a negative review comes in that could be easily resolved.
The current rating system is not ideal. If potential customers can’t see why a rating was given, then it holds no relevance. This goes for positive reviews too.
I’m fairly frustrated by the whole review/rating process of an item. Is it in the works to revamp this functionality?
Currently, a user can leave a review and a rating, and have to leave a comment if it’s a negative review – this is all well and good. My issue is two-fold:
1. There’s no way for me to reply to a review to help the user resolve any issues they may have been having. 2. Other users can’t see these reviews, thus rendering them obsolete in most cases. Perhaps someone has given it a low rating because it didn’t have a feature they wanted, where as someone else may not have bought it because of the low rating, but they didn’t need the feature mentioned.
I always get this error, and as such, have never been able to use that feature!

Public reviews would be very useful – even just the option to display certain reviews publicly. That’d save us having to screenshot them into a pixelated image.
I’d be interested to know how many customers actually purchase items like this (CodeCanyon in particular) on a mobile device?
My first item ever was approved 7 hours ago and I still haven’t got a single sale. I am not complaining though, I just haven’t slept for 24 hours and is waiting for at least 1 sale. That would make my day. I’ve been reading the other authors’ comments and I am worried if wherever I submitted it in the wrong period of the year. Hope not.
