You’ll all be happy to know that since the ratings went public for those below 3 stars I’ve stopped giving them altogether… even 4-5 stars. Used to do it for every product.

Hi all – just a little bit of a rant from a buyer’s perspective. I’m finding these external forums/support ticketing systems that authors use – especially for themes – to be quite a nuisance. Even with simple pre- or post-sales questions we’re often told to go to a dedicated forum and create yet another account (and dig out our purchase code in the process). Unified support at Envato is great, especially now that there’s a search function. Having 150 support accounts isn’t.

Hi there – we’re needing some minor changes done to a WP plugin. Main issue is that we’re on a tight budget at the moment but I’d like to hear from people anyway. It’s a vendor plugin for WooCommerce – we need to add to what appears on the vendor’s reports page and also what gets spat out in the CSV export (it’s on the front end).

There would be more things/mods in due course so keen to find someone reliable.

As a buyer, I seriously dislike the new rating system. I give it 0 stars! Haha. In all seriousness, it has made browsing trickier as stars are few and far in between, and it seems the only products with ratings are high (and often don’t deserve it). I don’t think users should be named in the rating/review. It has made people afraid of rating in many cases, and this is a nuisance. I used to rate products fairly all the time, now I don’t rate anything… not even 5 stars as the system as a whole has put me off. Yes, you will sometimes get retards who don’t know how to install a WordPress theme and give the author 1 star, but surely those can be reported and deleted.

I’ve whined about this before, the Amazon hosting can be extremely slow – and it’s not a rare occurrence either.

I’m currently downloading from ThemeForest at 20-40KB/s on a fibre connection. I’ve tried connecting to various locations around the world using my VPN service to try to get a better result, but it’s fairly similar wherever I go. File is 200MB.

Honestly guys, nothing kills workflow more than this :impatient:

Hi all,

I’m in search of a developer(s) for creating an online/cloud service. It would need to be a standalone platform and scalable; I’m not talking about a mishmash of plugins and a WordPress theme.

At this stage I’m looking to develop a quote more than anything. Does Envato run a site like this? Or is there a big place people usually go?

Can’t say I’m thrilled about being identified when giving ratings of 3 stars or less now. I’ve been wondering why overall ratings are so high on certain items recently!

Nooooice. I’m still on cable, but with 150mbps theoretical max I’m happy enough. Will get fibre soon, so things are looking up ;)
