Also, another question.
When on a category page it displays all the posts but also all the post content. I can also change the settings to excerpt but it just displays parts. Is it possible to display a specific amount or end the excerpt at a specific point?
Is it also possible to only have the ability to update specific parts of a page? I only want the merchants to be able to update their page’s contact info, logo, and bio.
I have a few Wordpress questions.
Is it possible to have accounts with only access to edit the content of one page (or even parts of a page)?
Is it possible to make new comment types and also give them statuses? Example: Type: Complaint, Status: Solved
Is there some sort of Support/Ticketing plugin (paid or free) that allows multiple accounts but each account with only the ability to respond to tickets with a certain parameter?
If none of those questions make sense, I’ll give a brief explanation of what I’m trying to do. I’d like to make a consolidated complaint&feedback website for a specific market. I’d like users to be able to make some sort of post that would display like a comment with the choice of 3 different post types (complaint, feedback, review). And if it is a Complaint have the ability for the specific merchant of that page to publicly solve the complaint/issue. Each merchant page will actually be a post in a specific category.
Ask questions if you’re still confused.
The first thing you will want to do is setup Multi Site Mode for a WordPress install. Site xxx.com will be the main site, and site yyy.com will a sub site of the MS install.
Both sites can have completely different themes.
Next, install the Domain Mapper plugin. It will allow you to have a single WordPress install with multiple domains.
Next, install the ThreeWP Broadcast plugin. It will let you “broadcasts” items from one site to the other. That should just about do it
I did step one. How do I add the second domain/subfolder?
I had an idea. I’m making 2 sites for the same client that will have the same layout but different colors. I’d like it to be on one Wordpress installation. But I want domain xxx.com to go to one page that has theme x and shows pages x1, x2, x3, x4 in the nav; and domain yyy.com will go to one page that has theme y and shows pages y1, y2, y3, y4 in the nav. And when you navigate through the site it’ll stay with the same theme, x or y.
In addition, I’d like to be able to, when posting have the option to pick which site the page or post will be for.
Any suggestions on how to do this? Is there something already out there for this? An addon? What is the best way to go about this? Any better way to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(This is for CodeCanyon and ThemeForrest)
Hi, I remember this one script on here that was like a really lite CMS .
You’d just click edit and you could edit the text without going into a backend. I can’t find it, anyone know what it’s called or where I can get it?
Also looking for something I can have people Sign Up & Pay for classes. What is a good plugin for that?
