At the same time we changed the Reply-To: email header so that all compliant mail user agents will send replies to the correct address automatically.

Unfortunately not all mail user agents honour the Reply-To email header. To work around this I have added the message sender’s email address to the body of the email:

Hope this helps;

This should prevent these emails being marked as spam.

It’s still spam Image and video hosting by TinyPic Sending full image to support

Thanks for the report, 3eka. Could you please provide the full email message header in your support ticket to help us to identify the reason for the spam classification?

Hi there,

Sending email from a user’s address via our SMTP servers was breaking Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC). This caused some email providers to mark these user messages as spam and some authors were not seeing their support requests.

On 17 September we made a change so that messages from profile pages are delivered as email from an Envato Market address at a domain that we do own: do-not-reply@market.envato.com. This should prevent these emails being marked as spam.

At the same time we changed the Reply-To: email header so that all compliant mail user agents will send replies to the correct address automatically.

If you find that selecting “reply” on these emails is not correctly populating the “To:” field in the reply, please submit a support ticket letting us know which mail user agent or web mail provider you are using and we shall endeavour to find a solution for you.

Hope this helps;

In case anyone is using the Envato Purchase Code Verifier for bbPress plugin available on CodeCanyon, you’ll need to add the User Agent string now to make that work. (Seems like this plugin has been abandoned, so I’m posting the solution here) To fix this, open tc-bbpress-verify/inc/tcf_bootstrap.php and around line 322 in the tcbbpressverify_verify_license() function, add the user agent string to the CURL request.

As gstamp said in this related post:

[The User-Agent String] helps us determine the source of the traffic as well differentiate legitimate requests from malicious attackers.

As such, we ask that you provide a more meaningful User-Agent since you’re not actually querying our API with a web browser. An example might look like this:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, "Envato Purchase Code Verifier for bbPress Version 1.0.5");

We’re constantly monitoring for errors and anomalies so meaningful User-Agent strings will help us to focus in the right area when things go wrong.

Thanks;

Heya!

Oh hai!

Are there any cyclists around here? There was a running competition organized some time ago, I think it would be awesome to do one for cyclists as well. :D

That sounds like fun!

Btw, if you’re using Strava, leave your profile link here, maybe we can create an Envato club ;)

Recently Mario (y’see, we do talk to the Studio developers ;-) ) introduced me to Strava and since then I’ve become an addict! It’s great being able to race against my previous segment times. My username is the same as it is on the forums.

How many kilometerers do you ride daily / weekly?

I’d not ridden for years but recently joined the throng of staff who cycle to Envato HQ most days. It’s about 10 km from door-to-door; a little longer if I take the scenic route. Melbourne has some great bike paths, I’m discovering.

BTW: who is Pete J? Looking at his profile I see another Envato Club

Ah I searched for Envato before creating, must have missed that existing one. Looking at the avatars that looks like an Envato staff group.

I’ll rename the group I created to Envato authors

Ah yes. Sorry. I was lurking on this thread this morning and joined the group before it was called “Envato Authors” and before I had a chance to write an introductory post. I’ll duck out of the Envato Authors club and stick with the existing Envato Riders club. I like the idea of a community club without the author / staff distinction, though.

Cheers;

I wrote my first program on an Amiga 500, when I say wrote, I literally copied it character for character from a book that came with it. It was the ‘lines’ program you can see here

Atari ST forever! ;-)

Welcome aboard Tommy (and Sam); it’s great to have you here!

A couple of the guys at Envato HQ came up with a Spotify playlist: Songs that I don’t know by a band that I do. I’ve been having fun listening to that.

Best discovery from that list? Madness – E.R.N.I.E.

Oh I love my vinyl records, even the ones that are old and pop and crackle as I play them.

Unfortunately, mine don’t get aired very often as I listen to most of my music on the move these days and with a pre-schooler running around like a mad thing at home, I tend to keep my LPs and 45s out of reach.

I have a Denon USB turntable which I use for converting records to MP3s, which has been very handy: not all of my records are available in digital format.
