slap a mega menu on that sucka and call it done – here’s the code devs – shouldn’t take more than a few hours to implement and style
First – it’s a great fresh design and could be well suited to some buyers fersure.
As for this statement:
It doesn’t scream wordpress because everything is not bunch of square boxes laid out in a grid, especially the header and footer, that’s all I meant. I’m not a design expert though, that’s why I’m asking for opinions
I don’t agree – in fact it is very much a bunch of boxes, all web design is really to be honest – it’s the way css works – it’s what you do to embellish the boxes that makes the difference. If you look at this design it’s pretty much the same as any magazine type design here on TF, that being:
- logo and menu
- Slider thumbs
- Left Column
- Right Column with posts
- Footer with 4 columns for logo and widgets
Now I am NOT trying to say it’s just like the rest like we have threads everyday about (urgh) what I am trying to point out is what the designer has done – took the basic layout framework a lot of us use and embellished to make a unique attractive design.
Just wanted to point out what looked obvious to me.
@jonathan – Ok, everyone has a right to have his own opinion. I was just sharing mine.
Absolutely my friend – but what I was trying to say was go forth and see if the statement can hold water when in fact it cannot – things progress on themeforest WP theme features at least as fast as anywhere else if not quicker – the proof is in the catalog of files over time.
I just get tired of these posts about lack of competition, same features, same design / copied styles – when in reality that’s not always the case here on TF – I think we have some of the most progressive theme development available anywhere and are always at the cutting edge of design practices also – it’s a wonderful treasure trove of fantastic work at ridiculously low prices and we as authors should be shouting this from the roofs – not saying the opposite.
Also, your blinky avatar thingy is driving me crazy.
+ 100000000000And @WooThemes bring it on with WordPress themes too, i’d like to see some competition around here, without competition in 5 years from now 90% of the themes will all be the same as now, same features, same layout same everything.
That’s like so far from the truth it’s a ridiculous statement to be honest – just look at first uploaded themes to latest ones – check out progress / features / level of design – themeforest is very organic in product development overtime – more so than most of the so called large wordpress theme sites – their feature sets don’t change as quickly as they do here – design will always have periods of popular things etc – just the way it is.
As for the OP avatar – I just received a call from the 90’s and they want they animated avatar back
I have NEVER had a reply from support anywhere near 24hrs – in fact most NEVER get replied to ever – just sayin that support needs more bodies behind it – example I sent support an email last week with regard to something and still have not heard a thing back.
Just wanted to bring it to your attention mods as I see the same reply ever since I joined – not sure if one department does not talk to the other, but generally it’s always been rather a failure in the usually efficient Envato model.
Only an excerpt is what I strongly suggest – no need to see everything before purchase – they can ask questions – this would raise a flag for me especially with what we all know goes on with our hard work etc etc
This issue was reported several weeks ago – I would send an email to the sitemanager to ask about it possibly.
make sure you don’t have the video set to private etc – either that or maybe are simply doing the code wrong…?
yeah make sure you edit the settings for embed to ensure it is the correct aspect ratio – maybe that is something you only get from a pro account?? Not sure as I have a pro account unfortunately.
