Seems like quite all buttons (not only the ones from the image)
are down at the moment. [Firefox]

They worked for the last days but now i’ve the same situation as Doru already mentioned at page 59.

@Leupsi @Doru we’re having trouble reproducing this in Firefox. What OS/version are you using?

Thanks :)
My icons have disappeared too! Firefox 27.0.1 – Mac -OSX – 10.6.8
Please fix my icons!!!!!!!

Hi josweb, doru, Leupsi & sightsignal.

I haven’t been able to reproduce this in Firefox 27 on OSX (Mavericks or Snow Leopard) or Windows – is there anyone having the problem in another browser/OS combo?

Can I get you to try disabling browser extensions & userscripts, just in case one of them is involved?

Cheers, Ben

Nope, that didn’t do anything… :( I’m sure they were working for me until a short while ago…

Wait for retina displays. You’ll kick yourself in 6 months when they start pouring onto the market. The Apple displays marry perfectly with MBP. As soon as they release one I’ll be getting it.

And I’ve also read that the MBP’s will be updated sometime this year! I think I’m going to have to wait a little longer :)

Buy all the devices you can afford, and get used to the fact that there is no standard DPI anymore. If you want to keep working as a designer you have to be aware of how the medium is changing. Also: nobody regrets getting a Retina MBP. It’s an amazing machine and I wouldn’t trade it for any other.

I’m definitely getting one! It will probably take me a bit of time to get used to it and I still have my ‘ole faithful G5 :) I may also keep my 13” MBP but I promised it to my brother…. (eeek)

Next question…...... what monitor do people recommend to go with it?

It’s definitely a bit of a minefield, luckily I run onto a large monitor (72dpi) so it’s no issue, but you’re right to question this! I’d love to hear some advice also from people who have dealt with this head on.

Could you test it?

It sure is! I need everything to work from my laptop. I nearly gave up and went to look at a 15” non-retina but they don’t make them anymore.

Come on peeps answers and advice needed! :)

Hi, I’m looking into purchasing a Macbook Pro with retina display. I’m getting a little confused in regards to web graphics and Photoshop. The question is can I still design web graphics @72dpi or not? If so will they then appear blurry on the screen? Will I need a monitor to view the 72dpi graphics? If so then that’s no good as I need everything to work on my new laptop.

How do other retina display owners handle this issue? Many thanks!
