He’ya!

Well, i have purchased a few themes for the duration i have been mucking around with WordPress. With that said, i don’t code, at all. I mean really, at all.

But i did come across a them i liked very much, it was SmartMag and i am using it to this day for my music blog needs. I basically just link to stuff on SoundCloud.

But as i now have had this site for a year, i wish to make a new iteration of it and take the next step. I have been looking through hundreds of themes and have found a couple i like and wish to move forward with, and asked questions before i actually bought them and still waiting for replies from the creators.

But now i am asking this community for help with finding one that might fit my needs, or even find someone to work with / customizing my site willing to pay ofc.

But the dream is to have a Grid based structure, with a menu-panel on the right, and probobly a sidebar on the right to display most liked, played, most recent ect.

Other cafeterias

- Ajax loading posts, and infinite load of posts

- Fullwidth audio player plugin, i have this, but to implement it so that the play is continuous on the site and does not stop playing music when users are browsing. Remember this is all from SoundCloud.

- User area, use a plugin like User Pro, so that people can log in and “heart” stuff they like and create own playlists if possible or at least like tracks so they are favorites.

One of the main features will always be this to allow the music to be playing throughout he whole site, somewhat like soundcloud does on its own. But remember we are a blog, we would like to write something about the tracks we post. So if its possible on this grid design / square design to have the feature images display a “play” button so that you actually don’t have to go into the post to listen to the song, you can just press the image this would be awesome.

So the dream is to make a community of people that like the same kind of music i post today, nothing as big as SoundCloud. But if this is somehow possible, i would love to hear feedback and or get partners that wish to do something like this with me, that would be great.

If you wish, you can check out the site i have today and that i wish to update, also thinking of changing domains / name of the site. – http://sosoothe.com

regards Kenan

Hello, Has anyone ever thought of making a player that maybe if included on all site pages would do this: play a music/audio file across all pages of a site.

So If I enter the site, the audio file starts. Then if I decide to click on a different page, it’s still playing where it left off.

I’ve heard of the Ajax solutions, etc – just wondering if this is possible to make a jQuery plugin so we don’t have to do any of that to our sites

Yes/no?

Hi Aaron,

Did you ever find a template / site like this? Would love to see it and or get it :)

Hello, I’m pretty new to Wordpress, and HTML /PHP in general (Bet you guys love to hear that)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as what i should do and pref HOW i should do it.

I’m in a lucky position to be able to open up a Webshp for a friend. AND im going to use the Simplicity theme, woocommerce and all that good stuff. That part is easy. Mainly my problem is the request my friend had.

He wants a “personal” custom if you will intro / frontpage looking something like this

http://www.fabiboutique.com/

I don’t know what this is made in but thinking its Java scripted. I did the same in Flash, but I don’t wanna use that.

I’m gonna have a friend code me a look alike frontpage 2 days from now.

But my problem is, how do I make this my frontpage and still link it to a working WP webshop?

I tried this: http://www.tutorial9.net/tutorials/web-tutorials/custom-wordpress-homepage-with-customizable-widgets/

But I can’t seem to make it work, I’m just trying for now to make the flash the starter page just to see how it will work until i get the right frontpage.

A friend also suggested that I should make an index.html file that will take priority of the index.php file and load my frontpage. But won’t that destroy the WP in the back?

If it’s possible to use the index.html and then just link the frontpage to the shopping page, it would be great.

But I have no idea on how I should proceed :/

So any tips / help is appreciated.

Regards Kenan
