By the way, you will always have this option to cancel your submission and resubmit it once your changed it.
But you’d loose the time you wait up to that cancellation, since you go to the end of the queue.I still see this waiting time as a great problem to be solved.
Envato can’t do anything about it. Several threads opened and get closed but Envato never came up with any solution. May be they don’t care about Author’s time.
The reason for late review process is that there are least number of items waiting for the review.
In the past we used to have 30 approved items everyday. But now the submissions are very low so we see only 10 items per day. So when we have few items in the queue review process delays. So that they can release at least some new items everyday.
The question is not only about my one rejection. It is about the complete review process. Currently the review process of Envato is like a dictatorship or we can say that it depends on the choice of one person. There are no guidelines for the features they need for the certain category.
This is the reason we see one item with same features and design accepted and the other got rejected.
Review process should have the consistency and Envato should do something to end this dictatorship of revieweres
i believe that the soft rejection was because the reviewer initially checked if you had submitted all the required files. And at the second time the reviewer checked the design and didnt feel like it is ready and hard rejected. you cant blame the reviewer. googluck with your future submission.
No Bro, This is not the way of reviewing. The reviewer himself told in the community forum that he first check the demo. If he feels the design is perfect only then he check other things

my item is a muse template and it always reviewed by [name removed]. If it goes to any other reviewer they held it for further review. So both times it is reviewed by [name removed].
The worst thing is that the soft rejection was for help file and after that hard rejection is for design. If the design was not there then it should be rejected on the first phase. There was no need to keep me waiting for one week.
My item was soft rejected for the reason that it doesn’t have the valid help file ( Help file requirements have changed as stated by the reviewer ) I upload my item again with new help file created according to the guidelines provided by reviewer. After that waiting for five days now my item has been hard rejected for design reasons. Now reviewer thinks it doesn’t provide the necessary design quality for the category.
How can this be possible that item soft reject for different reason and then hard reject for different reason?

Sales are at all time low I guess Envato is digging its own graveyard by making useless changes to the site
It has too many bugs to be live on the site. I used the category search form in the wordpress category and the results also included magento, shopify and some other themes as well.
It is a good feature but until it is not working properly it should not be live. It is ruining the sales of many authors. Last week was like a horrible dream. I never has such low sales as themeforest author.
I hope Envato will do something about it and things will get back to the normal very soon.
