It looks like the graphics were imported into the fla, but graphic optimization wasn’t set at 100%. But that doesn’t mean that the original graphics weren’t blurry before they were imported. I’ve seen many youtube designs with similar functionality where the graphics were top notch. I think that was just a design with less quality, and had less effort put into it.
My thoughts exactly, I’ve seen many similar ads before especially in gaming ads. I remember one awesome animation in gamespot.com where the whole screen gets destroyed by lara croft. This is an example of a badly executed effect, they could have made it much better.
I like both Efrat and Shlomi though, great singers
Here’s a good one from Efrat Gosh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpOQgVDpO4c
^ That looks like an extremely complex model, I don’t think it’s good for real time applications.
I suggest you start with one of these base models, they have good detail and not too many polys:
wickedpixel saidYeah, thats what I was afraid Time to install windows and 3D studio ;/
mpc saidHeh, I don’t think that is possible without a 3d editing software that can do this type of optimizations + manual fine-tuning. away3d only renders it.
Question: Is it possible to decrease the number of polygons on the external model without editing the model in some 3D graphic software? I have bought human model made in 3D Max but it is so complex
Or jump over to 3DOcean for some nice low poly models, or maybe you can get someone to optimize your model there.
BTW how many polys are on that model?
I liked CryTek back when it was just about 3 brothers making a great game with a great engine anyone could mod for free.
Right now (Under EA) they’re just going in the direction of Activision with user-locked and non editable content. I guess they figured out that letting people mod their games will give it a longer shelf life, thus potentially hurting sales of their next product.
Ah, I don’t care about them anymore, I’m with Unity.
majd_abdul saidMaybe this “revolution” can have it’s own marketplace now?
Awesome game DigitalGamer, congrats! It’s the beginning of a revolution
Nah, we like it here it’s nice and cozy
Seriously though, Unity is anything but a threat to ActiveDen. There aren’t too many files uploaded each month so we don’t take much space from Flash files, and it does bring new blood to the market and new potential customers for all types of files, Flash included.
Awesome game DigitalGamer, congrats!
It’s the beginning of a revolution
Here we go again… It’s probably the third time such a suggestion has been contemplated, in addition to Reaper’s thread there’s been another one some time ago:
