Sounds weird. You should try to open a support ticket and post the ticket id so staff can help you out here.

+1, also its not coming under Top selling goods, so i dont think there is something wrong with the staff in picking featured item.

Your answer saved me, IN CS6 it have an option Select > Object> Stray Points, it will select all stray points & click Delete to remove them.
