I have had an itch to rewrite one of my old themes for a few months.
The idea was to release the ‘rewrite’ as a new theme, but only if I could offer current customers of the ‘original’ a free copy of the ‘rewrite’.
I contacted support, but never heard back.
Because i have no experience with Photoshop and don’t know how exactly this is made. I can go up to 20$, but since coding is usually 15$-20$/hour i am not willing to pay more.
So if you have no experience, or know what processes are involved, why tell people how much or how long its going to take to complete?
Price and timescale for vital heart surgery! Sure 10 mins and price of 200$.
Yes, i have a flat rate per hour, no matter the job.
Forever quoting Ruben, but his is right.
From your post, you will have a good idea how long a Tumblr theme will take you, so hours X hourly rate. If your dev rate is more than your design rate, factor that in.
I would also factor a few extra hours for communication, issues, testing, changes etc.
The idea is to present the client with a reasonable / calculated price, without screwing yourself over.
Hope that helps.
From what I understand, you don’t need to worry about VAT unless you pass a certain amount. You do need to declare your monies from TF to pay tax though
In England, this is the example we are given: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/guidance/selling/examples.htm#c
It’s a job that will take you like 40 minutes or probably even less
By stating it will only take ‘40 minutes’ and should only cost ‘5-10$’, I presume have the skills to complete the work yourself.
I also presume when your girlfriend goes to a plastic surgeon for breast implants, and he quotes you ‘5000$’ you turn round to the surgeon and tell him it should only cost ‘100$’ as its just squeezing silicon into two pockets, and should take no time at all.
Please tell use how much or how long a job should take unless you can do the work yourself, its insulting.
If your budget is only 5-10$ that is fine, as suggested maybe look at: http://fiverr.com/
Sorry to be that guy but why tell us the day the funded are due? I presume that evanto have known about this for some time and could have allowed those affected time to make alternative arrangements.
Also any indication to which authors are getting a delayed payment?
I appreciate the apology, but surely contacting each author as soon as evanto knew about the issue would have been more fitting.
