My WP Development usually starts in PhotoShop then I build it out in a local environment. I use a mac so MAMP works well for me. I then create a subdomain for the final theme and set it up from scratch. That way I have a url for the demo site and it helps to go thru the setup step-by-step to make sure everything is as expected and to create better directions. I test everything again, and again … in Virtual machines /VMWARE in multiple browser and create/adjust browser specific style sheets to fix any issues per browsers. Submit and cross my fingers….
I think it is important to test at minimum: mac: safari, Firefox and windows: ie6, ie7, ie8, firefox, chrome
Another issue is they also get placed on the TF home page recent items and bump newer themes off.
@_freshface—pushing them back were they belong sounds reasonable to me.
@epicera : Good idea but I think you are right thinking that this would be abused…
This place is getting very competitive with many very nice themes available. I guess my overall concern would be to give every new theme the same chances of success. The more successful authors are at selling their themes the more likely they are to continue developing for TF.
Not sure if they can solve this issue but it would be nice to hear a good explanation or a genuine effort to resolve this.
I’ve been noticing that older WP themes seemed to be getting pushed back to the top. This seems to be very unfair to the new themes being released as the older ones already had their chance at the top of the listings. Now the newer themes are getting less time on the first page.
Just doesn’t seem right.
Both would come with the template incase someone wants to go light or dark withthe design…
I was hoping for suggestions to get this past the reviewers and up for sale. TF denied it the first time.
I just finished a new theme and would like some comments. Envanto suggested I post here before resubmitting. It is difficult to pinpoint their specific aesthetic requirements to get approved, so I’m looking for Comments:
This theme has a light and Dark Version:
TF thinks the dark background is distracting ( I completely disagree) and they want me to design-it-up a bit…
