Excellent! While the idea of getting an extended sale priced at 25x is awesome, I have a feeling we’re a lot more likely to see extended license purchases with these new rates.
If I download a a free file for September, can I download next’s months free file?
The best, and only way, to guarantee that all users, no matter the browser they’re using, is to use @font-face (as long as you do it correctly).
Check out my Font Uploader (if you’re using WordPress).
Font Squirrel is an awesome website that allows you to generate cross-browser @font-face code. Check it out.
@mordauk – Well we have the law to think about. As WordPress is licensed under the GPL , technically, any plugins that utilize its functions and filters must also be bound to the GPL .
Ah good point.
I agree. It’d be really nice if you could get a badge for rating items you’ve purchased. Out of all sales made, only a very small percentage of buyers actually come back and rate the item. Item ratings are of a huge help to authors and it’d be great if there was more incentive for buyers to rate their purchases.
WordPress Plugins from CodeCanyon are GPL , and that’s specified in the license that comes with the purchase, so don’t worry about that part.
Jeffery, I think it’d be a really good idea if the Code Canyon people (all of Envato actually) rethought the GPL licensing of marketplace items. The GPL is a horrible license and would allow someone to buy an item, modify it, and redistribute it.
Just a thought.
