ive made a static frontpage but i cant find a way to use the php file i have made anyone know how?

You can make them like blog posts, and have a page template call only certain categories. Then on the index page, you would then only display the title and image. I have done it before, and I have thought about putting together some type of article on it for those that struggle with portfolio Wordpress sites. I am sure other people might suggest different ways to do everything, but this is the best way I have found for me.

that sounds the best you should do a article on it because i have been looking everyone ive done a whole site and thats the only thing im missing and cant find a article on it anywhere. just plugins but are pretty awful.

I feel the exact same way. It took me forever to get it working for a site for a client. I also plan to redo my site in Wordpress, so I think I will write an article while I do it and post it to my blog.

i was wondering how can i put a portfolio page into my website so its like http://themeforest.net/item/glistor-wp-cms-portfolio-blog/full_screen_preview/68993 is there a script for it i want to be able to add them to the website through the admin panel so i can upload a image of a certain size and then add a url so when you click it , it goes to that url.

do you know if the wordpress for designers is going to be finished off
