I was about to buy this theme http://themeforest.net/item/spotfinder-versatile-directory-listings-theme/5415589
Is on the most sellers in the WP section. It has been very successful, and now is gone or is temporary?
Thanks God I didn’t buy it!
Hello Erik, look this grid design www.wmagazine.com is amazing. Maybe you like it more. Is a custom theme so no one is selling it. You have to hire a professional developer if you want it. Peace.
ListingPress is the BOMB! for this, and the future releases are going to be even more awesome. Not related to it, just a big fan of this theme. Just read the comments sections to see what’s coming
Great idea, but envato just don’t care about what you think. naa… they seem never to listen feature requests.
Let’s face it, the Comments section for the products are not mainly used to ‘comment’ but to ASK FOR SUPPORT. So here’s my URGENT FEATURE REQUEST:
PRESENTING THE NEW SEARCH BOX FOR COMMENT SECTION.
YES! Now the users can look over past “Questions and Answers” also known as ‘comments’ (yeah, right) and not wasting the precious time of our beloved authors answering questions asked 100 times before. And for the users, more fasting resolved questions by looking past knowledge. Easy.
I GIVE MY VOTE BY POSTING THIS IDEA.

Maybe someone hear us!
@jayc I think most of the themes don’t sell more than a couple tens of units because they don’t innovate. I kind of see always the same typical corporate or portfolio theme.
If I were a developer, I would start creating startup clones and specific biz needs, not general themes that “do it all”. That’s what the people are eager to buy nowadays: The “Make a start-up with this Wordpres Theme”.
Cool. Final words and recommendations. Assuming you’re in Windows:
-Xampp or Wamp for installing Wordpress locally. (Then, the ‘Duplicator’ wp plugin to take this installation online).
-Notepad++ to make changes to code (it will give you nice colors to the css syntax).
-FileZilla to edit files via FTP (making Notepad++ the default file editor in options).
-Don’t use Chrome + Firebug, because it has much less features than the Firefox version.
-Also, install “Firepicker” addon, to add Color Selection to Firebug.
That’s all I can remember right now! Good luck!
Oh, is very easy indeed. Those little arrows are transparent .pngs file you can replace when making your own in Photoshop for example or looking for “png arrows” on google. If you want o customize your themes a little more, I recommend you to take some CSS tutorials in lynda.com or codecademy.com. It won’t take you more than a day to learn it and some weeks to master it and your life will feel more complete! Trust me!! hehe.
Also, for CSS changes and previews on your themes, Firefox + Firebug extension is a must. You can view some Firebug 5 minute short videos on Youtube.
best of lucks with your new site!
Web design is one of these careers in life where the best diploma to show is your Portfolio of past works. So at this age, don’t spend time going to an institute, bat rather start improving your web design skill, mastering, for example, wordpress development or another specific language and framework for building web apps and web pages like Ruby on Rails. Then, is more important to show yourself how much you know, that the others. Nowadays, everybody want to see the results of your work, not what you did to get them. So focus in learning or improving your web programming skills.
Hi dalkarls, those kind of themplates are the most popular here at Themeforest, the keyword to find them is “wordpress masonry grid portfolio”. Try it your self and find the one you love most. .
Just have in mind: most of this kind of gridded themes, will only let you use this layout with a Custom Post Type, and not with regular posts, and maybe you’ll need to present not only the picture, but also text.
Before buying, make all the questions you can have to the author.
