A year ago quality standards were much higher
Dutchflow saidDuchflow, I didn’t understand why the name Pro Business Card is the reason for soft rejection ?
I get some files of mine soft rejected because of the file name i use of my business cards. I use The name Pro Business Card and now all of a sudden they are soft rejected and i can’t use that name anymore. But i can’t change the name so i have to delete them and upload them again and wait again 3 weeks??!!
I quote: Rejection Details
Reason: Please remove the PRO term from your title file and preview image. Do not use subjective words like brilliant, amazing, or best. These words describe your opinion rather than what the file actually is.This is kinda strange because i had no problem with my other 15 files that have the same name. I also get soft rejections out of the blue because with reasons that my file design of my business cards is to similiar to other cards while i see everyday the same similiair like business cards. It looks like they have hired some new reviewers that have some new strange criteria.
There’s no consistency, there are hundreds of PRO, ULTIMATE, etc. files. My first rejection was because of the word “logo” but if it’s “your logo”, it’s ok.
5 days – 25%, if I’m lucky the file gets reviewed in 20 days. At this rate they would need a lot more reviewers for things to go back to normal or the existing reviewers would need to work 5x more, so I guess we’ll see no improvement in the next months.
Bam! I choose you! http://graphicriver.net/item/rubiks-cube-9-in-1-logo-builder-kit/563076?WT.ac=portfolio&WT.seg_1=portfolio&WT.z_author=xstortionist
You can only nominate someone else’s item
If someone’s going to nominate a mock-up, I have some with 5 star ratings and never been included in a bundle.
Things would be so much easier if Envato would let proven authors upload without review, let’s say authors with at least 1000 sales, this would also give more meaning to the badges and they would save money on reviewers.
I guess the tagline would be hard to read in “small situations”.
Envato is looking for patients?
I have reported the item immediately and staff responded shortly (real message, not automated) but the item is still there and getting sales. Sorry Envato but this looks like you are supporting this shameless behavior. One thing that is bugging me about those stolen items are the earnings, what happens with them if the thief gets banned?
What kind of training are the reviewers going through if they approve this kind of copies of very popular files?
I agree with industrykidz regarding the review team but don’t think it’s because of the giraffes, if someone knows he can get the item there, he will get it there even if it’s 1$. It looks like the have decided to lower their quality guidelines, the reason might be decreased traffic, just look at some files accepted in the last month, they would be hard rejected 6 months ago. They want more buyers and more files, who cares about the authors, they will accept it like always and will now make even more files to compensate the loss. This is a really bad move because authors have now alternatives to sell their files, the traffic is not like on GR but it will rise if more and more authors decide to sell their files on another marketplace (where they can set the price).
