I have reported the item immediately and staff responded shortly (real message, not automated) but the item is still there and getting sales. Sorry Envato but this looks like you are supporting this shameless behavior. One thing that is bugging me about those stolen items are the earnings, what happens with them if the thief gets banned?
What kind of training are the reviewers going through if they approve this kind of copies of very popular files?
I agree with industrykidz regarding the review team but don’t think it’s because of the giraffes, if someone knows he can get the item there, he will get it there even if it’s 1$. It looks like the have decided to lower their quality guidelines, the reason might be decreased traffic, just look at some files accepted in the last month, they would be hard rejected 6 months ago. They want more buyers and more files, who cares about the authors, they will accept it like always and will now make even more files to compensate the loss. This is a really bad move because authors have now alternatives to sell their files, the traffic is not like on GR but it will rise if more and more authors decide to sell their files on another marketplace (where they can set the price).
Is there any new info about the upcoming awards? All I can find is on the bottom of the official page where it says “More details will be coming throughout 2012 on the awards and how they will work…”.
Hi TPN , could you look into mine too, it’s ZIY -559-98985, isn’t a small amount and I need it really bad. I hope you guys can do something, I guess an extra clock for Australian time is next on my purchase list.
Good to hear I’m not the only one, hopefully envato will make an exception because there are more users and they also made mistakes with payments.
67. on GR and 353. on all marketplaces
So you’re upset because people will see that you’re using templates?
I’ve seen many threads regarding partnerships between authors so I was wondering how they do it, do they make a new account or have just an agreement and use the account of the author who has the highest commission rate. Both options have downsides, the first ones downside is that they have to start again with 50% and the second is a little bit tricky if the authors don’t know each other in the real life, one author could just disappear.
Add a Partnership option in the item upload page. Something like:
Partner Item (check box)
The partner would get a confirmation email before the approval, so you can’t just put a percentage you think he deserves.
What do you think?
