I am not sure, but that is an interesting question. I guess you could ask the staff, if you find the answer please share, I’d like to know.
I quess you are using layer styles or a gadient layer, right?
Try to recreate the gradient with the gradient tool… that always worked for me.
You usualy chabge it by going to settings->General and edit the Blog Title. Depending on theme it might take the name from somewhere else, see the theme options page.
You might olso find something usefull in the theme documention.
I all the above fail… ask the author, there is a contact form on his themeforest page.
You could also take a look at http://www.jobberbase.com/ if the jobboard is all you need. Problem is you won’t find free templates, so you’ll need to build one.
[LE] It look there are a few templates out there, just google them: http://www.google.ro/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=jobberbase+templates
If the difrence between categories are big-ish conditionals tags could be overkill, so I advice you use special template files for each category.
You could have something like this:
for Music have a file name category-id.php (where id is the ID of the category) or, if you use WP 2 .9 you can have category-slug.php (like category-music.php)
More about it here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Category_Templates
Hope that helps.
Ok, I gave up, I just removed the shadow on the headings. I also changed the navigation (I think is better now ) and followed Chris’s advice and turned down the gradiant on the top right button.
I have only one more IE6 bug, the first time I hover the “about” menu it shows all the drop downs, not just the first level. It’s really wierd.
Think it could be ready? http://nfr.ro/demos/clearity/
I made some changes:
1. Changed the color of the shadow on headings, should be ‘softer’ now, it’s ok now? I like it, but everyone else seem to hate it.
2. I removed the transparency of the drop down *thanks chris
3. Changed the portfolio a bit. Should I let the “expand” button as it is or should I make it a simple link?
4. Is the grey background on the slider really that bad? I always thought a template should be as simple as posible, so that the client can put there whatever he wants.”
Thanks a lot for the input, now let’s see what I can come up with.
Chris the “Free Quote” button had a bug, I missed placed a :hover pseudo class and forgot to upload the file after fixing it.
Hello, sorry for posting yet another rejection thread, I just got my new template rejected (second time) and I’m a bit confused not knowing where to improve.
The link: http://nfr.ro/demos/clearity/The reasons:
Additional improvements in typography, overall graphics and overall aesthetics
I know I’m only using this font stack for typography: “Gill Sans”,Calibri,”Trebuchet MS”,sans-serif, but I like it, could that be a problem?
As for what “overall graphics” and “overall aesthetics” mean, I really haven’t got a clue. So any kind of suggestion is welcome and apreciated.
