is there forum post related to SalesRobot ?
Nice app Nickys. What I really like is the ability to view specific product earnings over time. I don’t know if any other app does this (or do they?)
Here’s my issue though, I happen to have a bit too many items so it’s a bit tricky to see which item is which. What would be really nice is some kind of hovering display to show which graph corresponds to which item. Either a pop-up text when hovering over the graph (like you have in the “Total amount earned per product” graph) or maybe have the graph highlight when hovering over a list. A third option would be to be able to filter out just a subset of the items in the portfolio (like, the 10 with highest all-time earnings, the next 10.. and so on). As you can see in my screenshots the colors are only helpful to a certain extent
I’m having the same issue This is just a normal line chart with A LOT of data and this is not how this chart is supposed to be used. 2-3 datasets might be okay, but 20-30 or more gets a bit crazy.
I will eventually switch to Google Charts, which has native support for incremental line chart, or whatever it’s called.
EDIT: Also fullscreen charts is on my to-do list and this will help a lot when reading charts with that much data.
Here’s a new one for you! I’ve changed my username to better reflect what I sell and ensure I have consistent branding on a site I’ve made to promote my work…. obviously I got a ‘your username is wrong’ message when I tried to log in, so I went in to the settings and changed it.
Generated a new API key and re-uploaded my sales CSV as well just to be thorough. SalesRobot is showing all my sales and purchases on the ‘Statement Page’, but there’s no data at all on the statistics page. Says $0.00 this month.
I’m guessing the sales data is tied to my username, and as I’ve not sold anything under my new username yet (sales are slow at the weekend!) it showing as $0.00. Is there any way fro the data to be linked to an account rather than a username (if that is the problem) so it will also show my historical data? It;s all still there in my ‘Earnings’ page on Envato… with the graphs and all that.
I appreciate it’s not going to be a common issue as username changes are rare, but if it would be possible to take a look at this, at some point in the future, then that would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Wow, that’s what I call a corner case! The sales’ unique ID in the database is a hash from the sale date and product name*, so basically you tried to insert sales which were already there.
The solution would be to add the envato username to the hash, but I’m not sure how that will affect everyone. I think that will cause each sale from everyone’s current statement (last 100 sales) to be inserted again as a new sale, which is bad. To solve this I would have to make a script to modify the ID of all sales in the database, so no future duplications would occur. I will have to think about this one.
For now as a quick and dirty solution I can just delete all your sales from your old username. Then if you upload your csv again it will be fine. What was your old username?
- - Even though Envato added transaction ID in the CSV statements, I can’t use that yet. The reason is that there is no ID in the statement API, so I can’t tell if a sale from the API is unique or not. Guess I’ll have to wait until they fix that as well.
@nickys You can take a look https://salesgenius.co/ it will be awasome if you have something like product wise sale. may be filter date range product wise sale.
Yup, I’m going to add that eventually. Not sure about the date range thing, but it’s definitely something I will consider once I sort out the current issues.
thanks for updating the salesrobot, i am not sure if this question has been raised but the total sales is not affected with the Sales Reversal?thanks again!
You mean the “Earnings total” field? Thanks for noting that, I will include it in this Sunday’s update!
I imported CSV with past sales, but your website display most of the historic data wrong including total earnings. Most likely you are using wrong CSV columns to read earnings. I generated CSV yestarday, it is using new CSV format, so you should check out your statistics processing for this new CSV format.
Other then this, I have noticed that sometimes Statistics page doesn’t load (after 20-30 seconds), and I have to click 2-3 times to force loading.Regards, Milan
Thanks for the notice, I will disable the CSV uploading until I fix it.
Howdy! Been using this since last month and it’s really good. Slight problem today though… since they very recently changed the whole reporting/billing/charging type thing… the reports seem to be a bit wrong.
Before, I would sell a $6 item and it would show as $3 earnings, now in my Envato statement it’s showing as the price being $4.80 and then my earnings being $4.80. Remove the $1.80 buyers fee and I’m still getting just $3, but your reports are showing me as earning $4.80.If that makes sense? It’s not your fault, I guess the API mechanism is reporting me as earning $4.80 when I haven’t. Not sure if that can be accounted for? Otherwise… great app!
Yes I know what you’re talking about, I fixed that yesterday in the Statement screen and just fixed it now in the Statistics screen.
I don’t really get the point in those Author Fees. I mean, why do they have to be in your Statement anyway? Why do you get a “sale” record with an amount that’s neither the real price of the product, nor your actual earnings? Now there is no way to tell which Author Fee corresponds to a certain sale, because there is still no transaction ID in the Statement API.
i have uploaded csv before and again today but still its showing same product multiple times in donut chart so may be still its grouping with title
i have another suggestion as well, can you move this month earnings a bit up or in line with predicted?thanks for great work
Hey, can you show me a screenshot or something of the doughnut chart? Do you see any errors in the console? It all works fine here.
