I’m the web designer for my family publishing company and I can safely say that only one other person at the company could set up our sites the way I have (even with templates to start from) and he would swear a lot and throw things before getting the job done.
I have a bunch of blogs. I use Wordpress for everything because it’s so much easier to manage! I run my company website (matterdeeppublishing.com), our press packet, my husband’s website (building it now), my personal author blog (www.amyleighstrickland.com), my book series (www.olympia-heights.com) and a site for a project of ours (www.saynotosparkles.com) on wordpress. I also set up my brother’s webcomic on it, as well as the professional site for my father’s invention (www.interlockingballast.com) because I knew I could teach him how to update it himself with wordpress. Oh, and one last wordpress blog, I set up a gallery this November from my mother-in-law’s art show (http://www.terrystricklandart.com/theincognitoproject/) on wordpress.
I kind of love wordpress.
