I doubt it’s illegal. Only the code that interacts directly with other Wordpress code should fall under GPL .

For instance, if someone were to code an xml news parser and use it to display news in a certain area of the theme, without using any of the default wordpress functions, I think they have every right to encrypt their function or whatever, if they are so inclined.

And if you are referring specifically to themes here on ThemeForest, the Wordpress GPL license is supplemented by an extra license drafted by TF team to ensure authors can still claim copyright over css styles and so on.

I don’t think you’ll be allowed to re-upload them so if you don’t want to shoot yourself in the foot, don’t delete your themes.

If I remember correctly, the ‘bug’ only happens after a theme is soft-disabled and then re-enabled.

So, if you really must blame someone for this, you need to ask the reviewer(s) why soft-disabling was needed to update the theme in the 1st place.

If you can do basic sysadmin by yourself (unmanaged service), go with vps.net, but if I’m not mistaking they added managed services recently as well.

So…just chipping it, I’m not famous or consider myself an expert yet cause there’s always room for improvement, but can you largely state what your project involves and what budget you have allocated for this?

Add some bottom margin under the homepage headers (features, etc) and then some bottom margin for the paragraphs underneath so that the Read more buttons don’t look so crammed up in there

Other than that…not sure what else, but holy f, a cu3er license will cost 900 bucks? I think somebody is floating on little pink clouds faar faaaar away from reality. They must think we’re all eating dollars for breakfast, lunch and dinner just from our themes here so we’re good cows to milk.

I think that quality standard should be raise since there is more and more talented artist here.

That doesn’t make much sense. Either way, I think eventually only the very persistent will stick along, I suspect at least some of the new authors might get disappointed early if their theme(s) don’t start selling big and quit…and let’s face it, some people are just lazy and looking for a quick buck…and they’ll drop out as well soon enough if they don’t get it.

Quality will probably prevail by itself in the end, without any further restrictions in that aspect…hopefully people will start noticing it pays to focus on quality, not quantity and the fact that over-flooding the homepage with new items is actually counter-productive.

Email it to him (i assume you already exchanged emails), and also upload it via the Edit tab. It will need to be approved by a reviewer in order to be available for download by other possible buyers.

Mustafa, since you are also an author here, submitting a DMCA for this is a bit brutal. You might end up losing some friends/fans/admirers of your work or even making some enemies along the way.

Have you tried talking to Mark about this first? Instead of jumping directly to a DMCA takedown request? Or even consulting with the support staff? Why not submit a simple copyright infringement complaint instead of something so serious?
