Well I have something to say too.
There should be an appropriate supporting system provided by ThemeForest, not the comments. In the title it says “Comments” not “Support”. If Envato will provide us – Authors a working support system, then 70/30 would be appropriate, because a lot of us provide and maintain our own support systems and i don’t see why Envato should receive any commission in that case.
I respect sales commission from 50/50 to 70/30, I’m completely fine with that, because ThemeForest has exposure that is so valuable, but support and support systems are maintained by us – Authors, not ThemeForest. So I want to ask Envato, to provide a support system for all Authors and then, just then as money for item support.
Also we – Authors will face blackmailing with a 1 star rating a bit more than usual. Clients don’t even have to pay for support, they just have to put 1 star rating and tell us what we have to do for them in order to get rid of that unfair rating. My advice is to review low ratings before making them public, just like it’s being done with theme reviews. If rating is blackmailing of unfair, get rid of it / if the rating might be true, then ask them for more detailed information, so we can fix the problem.
