No pausing, only way to stop selling is removing the item. You cannot resubmit items though.

If anyone falls out side of those requirements and needs to find out something, then they can just use Envato support.

hahahahaha…

I don’t think that Ivor or Kailoon could disable the item because of minor CSS issues, though I had a case when the customer reported that WMPL did not work like it had and the theme was disabled. I do remember like Dream-Theme had the same issue with WMPL.
It’s not a matter of opinion. They have. People have had their items disabled for minor CSS changes. That’s the underlying issue people are having right now.

I’ve seen authors with items disabled because a user wasn’t using the proper page template. So yeah they disable on minor issues all the time.

The only time an item should be disabled without any prior notification is if its a fatal error, or security issue. If its something minor email the author, give them a few days if they don’t fix it disable it.

I’m off to get some popcorn before this thread kicks off…..brb ;)
What bothers me and why I opened this thread, is that reviewers get bashed all the times for doing their jobs, and to be quite honest, that’s unfair towards them. The marketplaces have produced some amazing items and authors over the past years, and it proved once and again that it’s a system that works.
I’d hate to break it to you but while the reviewers do a great job they’re extremely inconsistent for basic things. Look at a few of the top theme demos that have hundreds of “real” validation errors yet they’re not rejected? Yet I see threads on the forums all the time about people getting rejected because of small things…. So yeah “truth”

Seriously? Validation errors? That’s all? Some validation errors are legit and can’t be fixed. Those, believe me, won’t get you rejected. On the other hand, seeing templates that use a class with no href, I mean, please… :)

I’m not talking about validation errors. As you put it, I hate to break it to you, but please read my thread again if didn’t understand it! :)

Ive seen themes removed from here for validation errors so yeah… And Im not talking about ones that can’t be fixed. As I said many times before I don’t believe in the validator as anything more than a tool(missing ending tags, using completely invalid markup etc is whats on the themes.

Your talking about items being removed etc so top themes not being removed for valid bugs yet people with much more minor errors are getting removed yeah thats your “truth”

Either way this thread was started to troll, not going to argue with you ;-) your king and right.

Hi,

We currently have a regular licence for a wordpress theme, which is being used on our development box , But we will then build the full site on its own hosting, the dev site is hidden from google and password protected.

My question is there will be a crossover period where both the live site and the dev site will be up at the same time.

is this ok?

also where does the license stand with having a test version of the website, for checking updates and so on. (obviously any test version would not be viewable by the public).

Thanks.

I know kingdonk said it would be 2 licenses… but if its on the same domain name and not viewable by the public I honestly don’t see any authors telling you that you would need two license. As authors are now “sellers” now according to Envato Id just double check with the author.

If the menu is breaking because to many items you need to adjust to CSS.

Also no need to make multiple threads.

Thanks manage to download the items but realised theres no theme in the all the items. How can l avoid this mistake next time? thus making sure a bundle contains a template (in this case was a wordpress theme) before buying it.

Possibly read the item description
