Hey guys. A change log area has been something we’ve been discussing. How we inform buyers of changes is pretty important, as you’ve mentioned :)

Great. Hope you’ll think about some of this suggestions then :)

Also make sure to mention that this is the WordPress version of the approved HTML template in ‘comments to reviewer’. This happened with my theme a year ago.

I just flagged your comment for staff reply. Hope someone will contact you soon. You can also get in touch with envato support via twitter by twitting them your support ticket ID..

So,

we currently have option to notify buyers when theme is updated. It would be nice if we could include a comment what we’ve done in new version and select what level of update we’ve done. For example:

- added new features - fixed small bugs - fixed serious security vulnerability.

Looking at what happened with Revolution Slider, we belive that most buyers when they see that theme/plugin has new version available, just click on “close button” on their email and do nothing. This way every level of update could be highlighted with some color, for example “fixed serious security vulnerability” could be highlighted with red and when buyer would see that, he would immediately update his theme/plugin.

possibility of adding comment would also be great. We could write in a sentence or two what we change, so the user could immediately see what’s new and if he has desire to update or not..

Just a suggestion that would be nice to implement in our opinion. What you guys say about it?

The best idea is to post a screenshot to your item description, not removing his username and simply add a big heading, please contact us first and if you have any problems or suggestions please leave more descriptive feedback, so that all buyers see why your item has that one star and how people can be real idiots (so you really shouldn’t remove his nickname – he should be ashamed). We did that on our WordPress item – but in the comments section.
ok, put a link as I’m not looking at all comments on your items :)

Here’s the link http://themeforest.net/item/elvyre-retina-ready-wordpress-theme/7966500/comments?page=4 :D.. But my partner updated the screenshot (he thought it would be against the rules). Comments is named “NOTE TO ALL BUYERS”

Edit: buyer didn’t know how to install a theme and went straight to Microlancer and they of course charged him.. he don’t understand that we are not Envato… Of course we contacted support and they didn’t do anything about it, even this has nothing to do with us.. Sounds familiar?
