I submitted this theme a couple of months ago and it was hard rejected. I had to work on other projects so I pushed it aside until I could revisit it. Now is that time. I have taken the suggestions from other peers and made changes and seek as much feedback as I can before my second submit.
Thanks in advice for taking the time to look at this theme.
Sounds too familiar. I’m trying to get feedback on my as well for the same exact message.
After a long journey of creating my first wordpress theme for ThemeForest, I finally gained enough courage to submit it for review. I’m a solo operation and would like some constructive criticism on what needs work. I been active on ThemeForest for many years so I fully understand the high standards that are in place. I feel like I’m almost there, but I’m just missing it as I’ve looked at it a hundred times over. A set of fresh eyes and opinions will really help. For the sake of my marriage I have to get this item approved because my wife will just kill me at the time wasted if it doesn’t.
Here is the message from the reviewer:
Overall, this is a good concept but there are a couple issues here:
We already have a number of submissions with the same overall design and concept and we have to draw the line somewhere.
I think we’re reached a point of saturation. At this point, we’re only looking for unique variations of this design: for another one to be approved it would have to have a couple of unique touches and features that differentiate it from what’s already available and definitely be of higher quality.
Minimal templates can be clean and simple when you manage to handle the white space and details to provide a simple but yet unique template. But if you can’t, it will look like an incomplete template – blank template.
In this case, the submitted template is more like a ‘framework’ than a full fledged design. If you’re going with minimalism, you need to make sure all the little details check out.

Thank you for your time and interest in helping out a fellow community member.
I think that part of the themes showing up in forums when they are rejected are because in the rejection letter it states, that if you are having trouble try posting in the forums to get other opinions.
In some cases I find that posting in the forums will help out an author and give them ideas they seemed to over look because they were focused on another element. So in some sense I don’t think its all bad that they are here.
hard to see what is going on with all the Previews. maybe dim them down or something.
I agree.. Some of the generic scripts that I have written in the past and sold to clients have gone for 50-100 bucks… 1-5 seems a little low depending on the type of script it is…
