Matt,

Thank you for the link. I checked it out. The author doesn’t seem to specify what license he is giving for the code. But it seems much easier to style than others.

Shortly after posting this thread, I found that Dynamic drive too has a multiple level drop down menu:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddlevelsmenu/index.htm

This one supports unlimited levels and comes with a redistributable (usage in programs meant for sale). I’ve clarified with the webmaster by email.

Hi,

Are there any javascript free libraries/snippets available that lets you create unlimited level of drop down menus?

For an example see the demo here: http://www.opencube.com.

Guess its a inner shadow/inner glow effect then? I meant the effect on all the form items (text boxex, and text areas). The same is applied on the navigation. Thats what I meant.

By background color I meant the tint of the background. Even if it is a gradient that you are using. The cyan-blue doesn’t go well with the grey content area.

  • Remove bevels from all the elements
  • Use a different background color
  • use more sophisticated gradients (add elements with clipping mask that have a white only gradient (100% to 0% opacity), inner glow etc. etc.).

As I said, see what already works. Make your buttons look like the ones on themeforest. These are my suggestions.

If you want to improve yourself then do this and you will be on your way to making great themes that make you a lot of money:

Pick any theme, preferably those that are selling really well and just try to create the exact design again. It’s a excellent way to learn designing. Make the exact theme mimic the theme as much as you can but make it from scratch. Use nattyware’s pixie to pick colors off the theme.

Once you swipe together enough tricks, you will be a good designer. You will get a sense of what is good color combination and what isnt.

Go to templatemonster.com and go through some themes there and try to replicate some of the themes that are selling.

Don’t cut it out and make it a HTML file and try to sell it. Just try to do what the experienced designers here have done. It gives you muscle memory. As you get experience with this, you can combine ideas and tricks from many different themes and make your own masterpiece.

Most Important: DO NOT TRY TO DISTRIBUTE THE THEME THAT YOU MAKE BY REPLICATING A THEME HERE OR AT TEMPLATE MONSTER . I SUGGESTED YOU DO THIS ONLY FOR LEARNING . YOU WILL LAND IN LEGAL PROBLEMS IF YOU DO SO . IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL THE PEOPLE WHO BUY YOUR THEMES WILL LAND IN LEGAL PROBLEMS .

Hi,

I am new to the themeforest marketplace. As per the rules, we are not supposed to include images to which we do not have redistribution/resale rights.

Where do you get redistributable/resellable images for paid and for free.
