Then give your files the wow factor and steal the sales
I’ve learnt not to bother moaning about the quality of other people’s files, and apply that extra effort to my own. After all, if the buyers don’t like the quality, they won’t buy.
Brochures? Do you mean flyers?
Just had a quick browse at the brochures and to be fair, there are some great layouts!
Brochures aren’t as graphically intense and creative as flyers are, but they take equal skill to design. Getting type layouts to look good on a page, dividing everything up and making it all flow and well laid out – it’s difficult.
I also find it tedious due to the lack of ‘creativity’ that goes into it and hard to keep focused, but like I said, to get a brochure right, it takes skill.
I disagree that it’s a problem on the whole. There’s nothing on here you wouldn’t see on the front cover of a magazine at the eye level of a school kid in a shop.
However, I would agree that it is a problem with people who just put a semi naked girl on the front, and the overall flyer is shite.
The more important problem I’d say is the quality of flyers being allowed to pass, not the content of them.
...After all, aspecially in Britain, the nights these flyers are advertising.. I mean, have you seen what girls wear to go out in? haha
girls get in free
That’s massively popular in busy clubs. I was in London the other month and turned down entry because my friend and I didn’t have girls with us! haha!
It was £15 entry to men who had girls with them, free entry to women and no entry to men on their own!
nothing wrong with something that is perfectly eligible to go on show in a shop, on a billboard or in an advert…
My first magazine cover, for a lad’s mag! “LadRag”
They need to shoot the designer that made that site i could only look for 5 seconds before it came to much and offended my eyes! it strange i have got really fuss if the site does not look professional I then think the company will be the same.
Yeah man! Offended your eyes, it punched me in the face.
I use Safari, does the job for me and I like the bookmarking
Yeah I agree that flyers are a more generic sort of file, however to an extent saying that they contain the same information – so do business cards right?
But I suppose the problem comes as you can get one client (a bar for example) who requires different flyers on a weekly basis, but once a client has bought a business card design, that’s it – that’s their image, once.
But still, would be nice to see the price of flyers go up a little
After all, you can’t (or at least not from me!) get a custom flyer design for less than £50
@Hertzel, you’re welcome! Keep up the good work
