I liked them in the beginning, but now that is gone. Too small, colors are all over the place and what annoys me the most is the hexagon backgrounds that don’t play nice with the grey background. No that’s not right: what annoys me the most is the paws.

I think this is a typical example of having an idea and not taking a few steps back during the process to ask the community. Why the community was not involved in beyond me.

Well the author is not responding to any support tickets. So that’s a dead end. And no, there’s no misunderstanding. I should’ve read the shitty comments on the item before buying it. I guess Envato doesn’t care that it’s selling crap to its customers.

Well, the sheer amount of products makes it impossible to keep everyone in check. That’s where you come in: you report this to support and the product will get looked at – they might even disable it if they find it to be in too bad shape. This is why buyer feedback is important.

My payment confirmation was oddly late this time. I received the payment 5 days ago with no problem but only got the confirmation “We just processed your request…” e-mail today, instead of on the same day as the payment. Weird.

+1
exact same situation here
I presume when a company has to process this amount of payments then some things will be queued somewhere to spread the load?

We all know this but it’s always good to be reminded once in a while.

Money will be the thing to watch.

I lived in Suisse for 2 years and going out to eat is very expensive. You can save tons of money by cooking yourself. Coop and Migros are basic super markets and are reasonably cheap. Prepare your monthly budget and you’ll be fine though.

Renting a home in Lausanne is crazy expensive. As it is close to Genève you can imagine the prices will be ridiculous. And it will be tiny. An excellent link:

Public transport is fan-tas-tic! It’s not that cheap but you can count on it working on Swiss-clock-accuracy. Swiss people complain when a train is 2 MINUTES late. You might be able to save money by pre-paying for the term of your stay.

Health insurance is mostly in private hands so you’ll have to make a deal with an insurance company (required by law). Pay attention to this one because some of these guys are real cowboys just trying to get you into a high payment plan which might not suit your needs. I’d go for the minimum unless your work over there will be dangerous. Ask your future students for advice.

The Lausanne area is beautiful to live in. Mountains piling up in your face, amazing you every day, it’s close to everything and has a diverse population. You’ll love it!
