Nobody? Well I thought it is something important for site owners…
@StephenCronin my theme is listed as theme for update but only prettyPhoto script in theme is from premium bundled plugin. Plugin’s author confirmed that they are using secure prettyPhoto version and they won’t update plugin and I have their latest plugin version in my theme. I already opened support ticket number 244551 about this issue and re-upload theme again with this explanation. Can you please review this issue and confirm that theme doesn’t need prettyPhoto update? Thanks.
It’s these threads that make me go nuts.
Sorry for offtopic … “Do you remember in high school that poor kid that constantly had low grades in math but brush in hand will be able to blow your mind by drawing? And do you remember the kid that has excellent grades in math, but was incredibly awful in drawing anything, even just a straight line?”
No I don’t remember that kids but I remember kids who were good in both, math and drawing and had all great grades.
My point is that business template designs here are not much of “art”, it is actually more of “geometry” which is kind of math in visual way. Just need good typography (math based), good colors (math based) and that what is called UL/UX which is pure logic and experience with websites usability etc. And definitely there are authors here who can do design in browsers, don’t need Photoshop and I would call them front end developers with sense for web design.
More “artistic” designers are rather called graphic designers in my opinion but not every website design, especially business website template, needs that.
It’s always better with prefix. To avoid potential conflict with third party plugins CPTs. Don’t have disadvantages.
From what I’ve used of VC (not loads to be fair) Unyson seems more user friendly.
Not really. Visual Composer as premium plugin has more elements and front end editor. Tabs, accordions, blog post elements etc are better in Visual Composer. But on the other hand not every theme needs that.
Unyson had some issues in older versions but with every update it is getting better and better and for free framework Unyson is great choice. Although I like to use only page builder extension.
Regarding to customization, both plugins are easy customizable and it is basically the same logic and code for creating custom elements as it is for every other page builder.
