familychoice, did you try to report theme to support in case if theme and preview with description doesn’t match? Theme could be soft disabled and author would be asked to improve it.
I just don’t want to depend on customer’s conscience.
Maybe if we hold this thread on first page long enough ( six months at least ) someone from TF team will notice the problem.
familychoice, I don’t have time to read all threads. If product description is not accurate then it is problem with review of product and if we assume that reviewers can’t find all bugs in theme and it’s description then it is ok to inform TF about product not matching description. In that case review of quality will be started and the same is for demo. Maybe you are the customer who check theme and change rating if it is improved but we can’t left authors to depend on customer’s conscience to decide about ratings.
Problem with rating is also that it stays the same even theme is changed and improved over time. Comments at least have the date.
Informed purchase can be achieved in theme comments, not to mention that informed purchase is already achieved by preview of theme, theme information in description etc. If theme is the same as description and preview show then I don’t see there is a problem so star rating is not necessary at all. Yes it is nice when you see 5 stars for your item but I would give all my 5 stars just to remove that one 1 star rating. Like I already said that one star rating was simply because customer didn’t check preview as he should. So this way we could expect buyer to rate 1 star because he didn’t like color or font of theme. Not to mention competition authors who can buy and rate 1 star someone’s theme anytime they wish.
I just got 1 star rating because customer didn’t check preview of my template and he was surprised with template pages that he got. But if he did check preview he would see what will get in template, because it is the same as preview.
Now I’m really angry. What could be done with this kind of customers?
Congratulations to winners. I’m very happy today. Thank you Envato.

I don’t think this is “too much inspired” by this Dribbble design.
