YTolun, thanks for your opinion. I think it is standard size for navbar and to me it looks ok on 1640px resolution. Maybe it looks too big on smaller resolutions but I will consider to change that.

Recently I made a design that I was going to use for my personal site and wanted to try my luck here again so I made it more advanced and send it here as html template.http://rayoflightthemes.com/fsdfsdfsdf/live_preview/
It was hard rejected because “not unique enough” and “it looks like a framework, not like template”. When I asked for more detailed explanation I got these screenshots:http://d.pr/i/Wnqq http://d.pr/i/y3l2
and explanation that these areas are “plain flat and generic”. And I agree with that. On the other hand, that is certainly not all that this template has to offer and lot of other templates with similar plain and flat areas are accepted here every day.
My question is what could be improved here? If someone could help I would appreciate that. Thanks.
Hi, I am interested. Check my coding service on Microlancer and contact me for more details. Thanks.
My withdrawal has been processed today as usual.
Thanks for your comments, the site is monotone as its a blank slate for an app company. The company can then recolour to suit brand. I can compare my site to a top sales theme “fluidapp”. I have to say, my design is much cooler.
Not really. Your design has some potential but you really need to study more about web design, typography, space and importance of colors. Also images are too big and you should use 100% width for some of elements of design eg. footer header menu etc. If you work with monochrome design add at least one color to emphasize something that is most important on your site. It is usually a button that will lead visitor to do something on the site eg. subscribe, check a product, read a story etc…Colors can be changed really easily but your job as a designer is to add them to certain places in design where they should appear.
