My question: if i own a company who don’t pay VAT, inside of country or outside, doesn’t matter (some UE countries allow that business organization), why Envato will charge VAT? I mean who can check if each market authors business are eligible for VAT or not?

What should happen by law is that Envato will bill everyone in the EU for VAT but if a buyer has a VAT number then they can add to the checkout process and it will reduce their bill by the VAT.

Now how Envato does this is anyones guess, I am guessing it will tie in with their checkout system they have been talking about

i am talking about a different thing. i am not talk about buyers. i am talking about sellers / authors. If i don’t have the legal right to charge VAT in my invoices, and the Envato will add VAT on my items, then we have a problem.

with other words:

If i am the seller (a?), then i cannot charge VAT on my services / products. If Envato is the seller (course), and charge the VAT claiming i am the seller, then we have a problem.

I think most of you are mixing reviews with comments here.

correct. you cannot let a review without to purchase the item. if a badge can make the buyers to be more involved, why not? :)
