I just saw your post re: removing the link. No worries..if you feel that my reply to the OPs question is not related to what they were posted, then feel free to remove it.
Although there was no spam, affiliate links, etc.. I really don’t see why this link was removed when I see many other replies to users questions for a specific solution not being removed.. just my 2 cents.. carry on.
For what it’s worth… We use EE sometimes, and mainly because we’re not as knowledgable with it as we are Joomla or other CMSs.. so, a theme that is ready to go, fully designed, etc.. would be great in my opinion. And I think the less EE-savvy folks would use it as a theme not a ‘how did they do it’? (which can be had from EE’s std index page)
Just my 2 cents… but I would be super stoked to be able to roll themes into EE from here, then have to jump into learning it since we dont theme for it much.. Who knows, with the availability of nice themes, we would probably ‘push’ more EE sites and sales here would go up.
Again, this is just one perspective.. but, one I think that is probably shared by others…
As much as I like Cu3er, and as cool as it is… if I see one more ‘Portfolio’ style theme using the base Cu3er installed at the top/center ‘position’,.. I’m gonna PUKE ! Seriously, if you’re planning on building a portfolio theme.. learn about everything Cu3er can do and BE UNIQUE ! And using Cu3er DOESN ’T mean ‘over’ using it!
Seems like TF has serious fad stages.. eg. when jQuery’s cycle plugin gained popularity amongst ‘slider’ fans.. man, you couldn’t find a portfolio theme without it.. Now, it’s Cu3er.
correction: Web HOST Reviews theme,... not web SITE ..
Check the CSS , codebase, etc… and you’ll see, even with possibly some ‘design inspiration’ there is really no solid duplication of the theme.. but, always good to stay on top of ‘rips’
Hey Gang, There was a Wordpress Website Reviews theme on here…. primary color was blue and had great functionality. But, I cannot find it and the closest I can find is this one:
http://themeforest.net/item/webhost-review/23444 (which is not it, unfortunately)
I don’t remember which author had it listed, where it went,.. or why. But I would love to get a hold of it..
UPDATE : For those interested in an easily integrated, light ecommerce engine that you can incorporate into any website.. stop by [link removed] !! It’s almost ready to launch and will change that way you implement ecommerce!
If you’re wondering what it is,. think ‘My own hosted version of FoxyCart!, WOW !” and you’d be 90% there. It’s not as feature rich as FoxyCart at initial release, but it is highly extensible, fast and the design can be totally customized to work with any site. This is NOT a standalone cart, it is designed to integrate into an existing website, seamlessly.
I’ll keep you posted.. Cheers
Just shot you an email,.. we might be able to help out. revive
better still… research and select a grid system (especially for fast, clean theme development where you dont need something specific for a development).. and utilize it’s framework to get the desired layout.. cross browser compatible, clean.. easy to modify.
