I’ve heard that you could ask support to soft disable your items, in that way they are still online but not available for purchasing
A badge to recognize if an author produces AE templates, stock footage, motion graphic or C4D items !
I’d suggest a badge like: Portfolio sold x amount of times and something like a Breaktrough Item: an item that made history in the marketplace or an item who sold 5 times the average of the other files of the portfolio.
what actually pi** me off is that now you can buy a license that allow you to produce an unlimited number of end products for an unlimited number of clients, so that means that a client is going to buy a clip with a multi use license and basically never come back to buy it again, and especially, they can sell it as many times as they want ( as long as it’s not made to order).
28 bucks are now enough to buy a clip and post it on facebook, youtube, broadcasting it on tv, cinema, then you can sell it as many times as you want to unlimited clients then what else??
Where’s my dignity gone Envato, tell me?
This is the reason of the price change in case you guys missed it:http://marketblog.envato.com/releases/brand-new-video-media-sfx-licensing-coming-soon/
I have to say, I don’t like it at all.
Dear Envato Staff,
I was wondering if there is any way to put my portfolio offline for a certain period of time?
Since we are left with no time to handle those VAT new regulations, I think that disabling our files while the VAT situation is properly sorted is a good idea for us authors and you Envato. I don’t really want to delete my files and leave this marketplace, and I’m sure you Envato don’t want to see us deleting our portfolios, it’s bad for us and it’s bad for you. Just give us at least a chance to stay, turn off our exclusivity and have a look somewhere else while ouf files are still stored in here.
Just make a ONLINE/OFFLINE button, I don’t really want to write to reviewers once for each of my items!
This is getting ridicolous, the price in the statement is not the price of the item I see in my portfolio, they are seriously trying to make us believe we owe fees to Envato when our earnings are just a % of the item price aka a commission! Envato, stop brainwashing the authors and take your responsabilities please.
Is there a way to disable my portfolio from being online or should I start thinking to remove the files compleatly?
Has the new statement page got something to do with new VAT changes?
As soon as I opened up the page this morning I got a tan on my face! Jeez that’s too bright I have to wear sunglasses from now on to browse Videohive! I don’t get how a multi million dollars company is making things worse rather than improving them! I mean, from the redesign to the badges, now the white bg and font, mandatory support, new policies, authors became sellers what’s next?
I need your help because me and websites are 2 compleatly different things I’ve finally decided to make my online portfolio for my photos and the videos I sell on videohive.
What I need is basically a really simple and clean layout, but since my knowledge about coding is less than 0, I need to be able to easily update the portfolio without using any particular software or coding. As far as I’ve understood I need a CMS even though I have no idea how it works I would like a website with sections like About, contact, and portfolio with sub-categories like landscapes, cityscapes, timelapses, virtual tours…etc..etc… and I need to be able to edit and add photos to those section all by myself.
Do you guys have any template to suggest me because I can’t tell the difference between 2 templates if they suits my needs or not?!
Any help is really appreciated! Thank you all and have a nice day,
