Hi all,

Just had a response back for a wordpress theme I sent off earlier today (top marks for the speed of the review!) and was disapointed when it was rejected, the reason given was “not provide a unique enough design with the necessary design quality, features and options to compete in the marketplace at this time”.

could I get a few user reviews on the design? I was pretty shocked at it getting rejected as not being unique enough but obviously an “outsiders” perspective would help greatly.

The demo is up here: http://wp-completehost.rmwebs.net

It is a wordpress template, the “vps plans” page is completely uniquely designed and includes a custom made jquery-ui based plan selector.

I’m completely gutted, I really thought it was a decent enough design.

The full reason for the rejection was as follows:
This template is not ready for ThemeForest. Your template does not provide a unique enough design with the necessary design quality, features and options to compete in the marketplace at this time. It requires improvements in term of design, visual hierarchy, typography, layout and its aesthetic quality but most importantly, its uniqueness and how the design is executed.

At this stage in the design I am, unfortunately, not able to provide more specific feedback other than what I’ve stated above (the design needs overall, general improvements). With further improvements I may be able to provide more specific feedback.

Any feedback or advice would be hugely appreciated!

Rick
